- Fuel Economy, extremely smooth engine, a/c, brakes, nice look, handling, perfect size for coupe
- none so far
I heard a lot of bad reviews on this car.. but i think it's amazing. My sister has a solora and it is nothing like the honda accord. The engine for the accord is extremely smooth and very powerful for a 4 cylinder. I heard people talking about the back seats being too small but it's actually pretty big compared to honda's competitors. The handling is great and the brakes are really good. It also has a very nice look.
Overall, I'm very impressed....read morehide

- good fuel economy
- ride too soft, performance lacking on automatic
I have never been a fan of Honda, after owning two civics. They usually have good engines and suspensions, but always had mechanical problems, despite their good reputation. I decided to get the Accord as I got a good lease rate and was looking for a good trade off between performance and fuel economy.
I have driven over 17k miles including long cross country trips and the car has held up fine, without any problems.
Areas of dissatisfaction are primarily the lack of power with the 2.4 engine and 5 sp auto trans. I expected better performance out of a 165 hp engine. I have had livier performance with a 2.0 litre and manual trans. While it is certainly convienient to have an auto trans in California traffic, I now regret the decision. My second gripe is the suspension. I feel it is too soft for a sport coupe. The double wishbown suspension is still great, but would like a little more stiffness. The main issue I have is the overly sensitive steering at highway speeds. Most sporty cars I have driven have some automatic adjustment that has steering response high at low speeds and decreases at highway speed. Not this car. It wanders back and forth and requires constant driver input to keep on track. Definetly does not inspire confidence at high speeds. Other minor gripes, cloth seats that are lint magnets, transmission that whines below 70 mph.
What I like is the great fuel economy, and good stopping power for the brakes, even though the rears are drums and the good standard safetly features; side impact air bags and ABS.
For a purchase I would certainly consider something else. Way too expensive, when compared to other vehs in same category....read morehide
