- fun to drive, responsive, comfortable, a head turner
- more horsepower
Purchased As New
Honda's reputation for quality and durability show through clearly with the accord coupe. It's agile and fun to drive with all the comfort of a larger car. The ride leans more toward a sports car vs. a sedan. The color, Belize Blue, is a head turner!! 58.000 in 2 years and it runs like it's NEW!! LOVE MY HONDA!!!...read morehide

- Great overall styling, excellant power, both sporty & luxury
- More road noise than expected - but light weight and fast
I waited two years to buy this Accord. Bought one of the last 2008 hot coupes. The 2008 has it all put together. Bought the EX-L Coupe V6. Alabaster silver, black leather interior, without the Navagation. The engineering and design quality competes with the high end models out there and about is 10-20K cheaper. Bought mine with the 8yr, 80,000 mile warranty, but I probably won't need it. My daughter has a civic. It is the most dependable and lowest maintenance vehicle I have purchased. I'll stick with Honda. Love my new 2008 Accord....read morehide

- Good looking. Comfort. eye catchy look.
I purchased this car last week. It was EX-L V-6 model.
I am a car lover. When I first look at this car, it looked very agile, and quick, and somewhat big!
I really liked the front of this car, but I liked the Altima's rear look more than Honda's. From A-pillar to C-pillar, from the look of side, it was nearly perfect. Looked so Sexy. New body kit had a sense of style. One thing I didn't like was the front head light setting. It comes with non-HID light even if it's V-6 model. I wanted to upgrade to HID, but honda didn't even have parts for Accord Coupe.
When I got in this car, noticeably, it was comfort. I liked the lelather setting of Accord more than Altima's. One thing I didn't like was all the buttons on the center. There were literally too many buttons. A/T comes with 5 speed, but you can only change 1-4. 4th to 5 changes itself. Altima comes with 6 speed CVT, and it's very quick.
I liked Altima's transimission betterthan Accord's.
Rear seats were bigger in Accord, and easier to get in and out than Altima's. Wish also passenger seat has power seat, but it didn't.
With upgraded sound system, it had a pretty good sound system. with 270Watts, it can perform most of music without distorting sound at high volume. However, it could have been better. I wonder why Honda does not have a BOSE' sound system options. With Dual climate zone system, A/C works just fine. I took it on the road, It was pretty quiet, and dignified. Some people say that this car is not comfortable, but in my aspect, it was very comfortable compare to Altima's It's V-6 performacable sports coupe!!!You can't expect Nice 4 door sedan's suspension!!! It has taut sport suspension. I wanted it to be a little bit more tough on road, though.18" rims and suspension works beatifully, and it go over bumps forgivably. However, Sharp turnning corner can somewhat upset this car. Accel. was not impressive!!! It could have been faster. Even with racket range of V-tec,( from 4500 to 6800, there is a little racket feeling of v-tec. it's the honda's the honda's engine style!) it felt slow.V-6 response could have been better!!! Let just say the Accel. is decent. With V-tec like s2000, It becomes a rocket after hitting 4000RPM. Because of the size of honda engines are not big, they have a tendency of making high-rev engine.
VSA, the stability, traction control was OK. Even without it, it spins pretty hard at first accel, but once you drive it whether push it little or just cruise around, U can't really tell the difference, but when I was turrning sharp corner with high speed, I felt of need of VSA.
I use Shell's v-power always, and I think it's getting the right MPG. Sometime, people fuel with really cheap one from a company you don't even know, and they say "I am not getting the right MPG like it advertised!" well... guess what? it's not car, it's what kind of fuel you are using it!!!!!One nice thing, though, I can see the percantage of my engine oil!. When my tires has not enough air, it will show on display. That was neat!Honda Accord's coupe definetly has a good look, Engineers say that the head light, they got it from eagle's eye. It also has comfort. It feels somewhat more luxurious than Nissan's. Nissan's more of sportier, tough on road feel!. Yet, the performance of Honda Accord Coupe was not satisfying enough. Probably good liability. Most parts are in a awesome hand, except performance. (I understand it's not RWD sports car, but it really could have been better on performance....read morehide

- Stylish exterior, Quality leather seats/trim, 18-inch rims, dashboard style
I absolutely love my new Accord Coupe!
I originally wanted the polished metal (dark metallic grey) but they could not locate one as I leased the 2008 when the 09's were coming out. Instead I have the silver with black leather interior and am happier than I thought!
I love the body style more than all of its competitors. The decklid spoiler also adds a lot of character to the entire vehicle and the vehicle looks mint with the 18-inch rims!
The interior is striking with the dashboard. The vehicle came with 3 free months of XM satellite radio which is a nice addition.
It has every option except navigation including heated seats/mirrors, power seats, 6 cd in-dash changer.
I would strongly recommend looking into the accord coupe with it's redesigned body style!...read morehide

- Good build quality, reputation, appearance
- Ride could be a bit more comfortable, huge rear pillar (Blind Spot)
I purchase my accord coupe month ago, and I am very satisfied with my purchase. In my opinion, the styling of this car is as good as it gets. Especially when comparing to its rivals, the Solara and Altima.
Some will argue the the Altima is better styled and I respect your opinion; however when you factor in build quality, reputation and attention to details, the Altima lags behind. I am an owner of an Altima and can say this with utter confidence, the Accord is built and performs at a higher standard.
I say phenomenal performance and I am sure many will disagree...but let me clear my claim. The Accord is very docile when you are moving around in town and it will never be intrusive with a loud exhaust or engine noise. But, when you really want to go and really put your foot down and the RPMs climb above 3k, the car suddenly screams and takes off. I am not saying it will keep up with Evo's and WRX, but for a dignified big coupe, it will easily squeal rubber and pump some adrenaline.
Some claims have been made the V6 is very Economical, but my average around town has been around 22 mpg. Now, consider the fact it is V6, but also that the car is about to roll 1000 miles, so still in the break in period. However, I am certain the car is more economical than other V6 engines. The ECO mode, where 2 or 3 cylinders can be turned off is excellent. The changes are not noticeable at all and trust me, I pay attention to excruciating details. It is a nice feature and once the engine is warm, it turns on very frequently. I have read many reviews and people have complained about the ECO mode being “useless.” I have to disagree only because, ECO mode is greatly affected by your driving style. If you are one of those people who cannot maintain consistent RPMs then ECO mode duration are very short. However, if driven well, you can keep the mode running consistently, even in city traffic. You have to be traveling above 10 mph for the ECO mode to even turn on, and when you are slowing for the light, the ECO mode comes on without interruptions.
The EX-L model is very well equipped, and the user interface is very friendly. I can understand some people have been having some trouble understanding the controls. However, I will agree the Altima iput interface is better and easier to understand. But, I hope this is not a deciding factor, as they are relatively easy to understand.
Some drawback of the coupe is obvious, the limited entrance into back seats. In addition, the rear styling with the pillars can be intrusive in your vision. But, one has to get used to it in every coupe.
Additionally, the seat comfort is questionable. The quality of the leather and bolstering of the seats is great, however, during long distance drives it can get tiresome. In addition, the power seat motors are a bit noisier as compared to my other vehicles. But, one thing is for sure, the seating support is great, but for long distances…it can be a bit uncomfortable.
Another drawback is the transmission in my coupe. It shifts smoothly, but downshifts while occurring at the traffic lights can be a bit jittery. I am not sure why that is, but it is very subtle. In all honesty, my family has never noticed it, but I feel it when I am in the driver seats.
Overall, even with these drawbacks the overall quality of this car is far above its rivals. The Solara is a great car, but the styling is old. The Altima is a great car and the VQ series engine is a powerful engine, but I question its reliability, because the Engine is borrowed from Renault and not a Nissan built engine. And Renaults in Europe are prone to having problems with their vehicle. I will not go as far as comparing this car to BMW, Benz and Lexus, because it is not comparable. Sure the quality is there and the fit and finish might even be better than BMWs, but the overall experience of driving a BMW is lacking....read morehide

- Looks sweet and mean!! Smooth ride
- Can't use seat covers (b/c of air bags in seat)
This is the car to drive if you want to get noticed! I love my car. I added medium tint, a sun roof visor, pine stripe, and small spoiler.
Chose not to get navi b/c they can cause the price of the car to depriciate over time as technology changes daily. The leather is so soft but you should be careful not to wear dark new jeans as it can discolor the seats. I detail cars so I notice stuff like that. Both the sun roof and the windows open with the key which is cool. Nice upgrade from my 2004!...read morehide

- rubbing noise in front wheel, rattle in dashboard
car is not what it is built up to be. dealer is not able to fix noise in front wheel, gave up trying. fit of fenders not matched up good and overal interior fixtures cheap. light for license plate was not hooked up. had small dent in trunk lid and a paint defect in bumber. fixed dent but didnt fix paint defect. front seat squeaks when you hit a bump, very annoying....read morehide

- Excellent acceleration, exterior styling is awesome! Will cause other drivers to stare
- road noise, vibrating from stereo, can tell when VCM changes cylinders, MP3 jack location
Overall, I am very happy with my purchase; I have had this car for approx. 2 months. I wish that chrome detailing was used instead of the gray plastic, which cheapens the car a little bit. Road noise is a little bothersome and is louder on rough roads; I expect this to cease once I replace the Michelin all-seasons with a quieter tire. Also, you can feel a slight tug when the variable cylinder management is working, especially if you are traveling at slower speeds. MP3 could be located on the dash. Very roomy for rear passengers. Wish the passenger's seat was automated. If you are a small person like me, there really isn't a place to rest your left arm, but not a big deal. This car will definitely draw stares and gasps of awes by others because of the outstanding exterior styling. Looks better than even the most luxury/higher end vehicles out there! I also like that it's not commonly seen out on the roads (which should, I suspect, contribute to greater resale value). Has an expensive feel to it overall without paying the luxury price. A beautiful ride!!...read morehide

- acceleration, stereo, looks great
- transmission does not have a "sport mode"
This is my first Honda, and it is an AMAZING automobile! There is little this car does not have, The Altima has the sport transmission, all the rest is Accord #1. Great pick up, smooth transmission, everything inside is well made and properly aligned. Craftsmanship is superb. 3 month trial for the dashboard access XM radio. ABS, traction control, VSA (variable steering assist), air bags/curtains all around! This is one safe car, and sporty too....read morehide

- Great looking car, v6 is very quick and smooth
- none yet
This is my 2nd Accord coupe, and this one blows my previous 98 away. I got black on black and added underneath spoilers, making the car look even more sporty. 268 hp accelerates well, car feels tight. Honda got it right with this one.
