2006 Honda Accord Sedan

- Good, quality mid-size sedan for commuting
- Just feels too cheap
Purchased As New
I actually admit that I sort of like this car. It is my fathers commuting car, but i think it is not quality. 1. Honda makes it hard for you to do basic maintence(such as replacing a headlight) 2. The V-4 is noisy and unrefined. 3. Honda installs poor quality plastic 4. It is not attractive. The saying "The Japanese have better cars" is just NOT true. Toyota and Nissan just had major recalls last year. If you are shopping for a lightly used mid-size sedan, just go with a Fusion or a Malibu. GM and Ford know what their doing. (Just a suggestion)...read morehide

- excellent mileage, quiet and smooth engine, nice ride, decent handling
- guage lights duing the day time
We've got about 8000 miles on our '06 Accord and we love it. We consistently average 30+ mpg in mixed driving. The car's best asset is its silky-smooth 4-cylinder engine that provides ample power and is amazingly quiet and -- as I mentioned -- very efficient. It's certainly not a sports car, but for a family sedan it's fun to drive. It's fairly agile and has a reasonably quiet and comfortable ride. There are only two flaws I've found with this car and both are very minor. The first is that the guage lights dim when you turn your headlights on. When it's dark, because of the contrast, this is not a problem. If it's still light out the dash is very dim and isn't easy to read. I also find that the front windshield seems a bit low, but I like to sit rather upright when I drive so this may be less of a problem for most.
Overall, a fantastic car for the dollar....read morehide

- good fuel economy, affordable, and reliable...
- stay away from auto transmission!
Overall i like the new accord, it has a nice ass! I notice people having a lot of problems w/ AT. I used to have 2005 element. The AT went out less then 500 miles. A year later trade in for a 2006 accord se w/ 5spd MT. For the price that i got it for is unbeatable! 5spd MT is outstanding and strong.
For the people that are having problem w/ the brakes. This is normal due to hard braking and fast cooling w/ any japs. manufacturer. Especially those one are living in cold weather.
I don't undestand why people are comparing accord w/ camry. Camries do have some down fall too. Please look into it before you purchase any cars!!!...read morehide

- Looks OK for fuel economy and power output
- Ride is rough
From driver seat, you can not view the front hood edge. This is no good for driver who is not familiar with the size of the car.

- EX-V6 What a car, the best choice I have ever made!!!!!
- 244hp is nice, but would like it to compete w/ the Maxima
My Fiance and I were in the hunt for a new car, she already owns a 2001 Civic and it gave her no problems ever!!!! So she was in love with the Maxima, but I convinced her to at least look at the Accord EX-V6. She loved it and we bought it. It was a great bargain for $26,000. I would tell anyone in the market for a mid-size sedan with a sporty/luxury feel that won't cost you an arm and a leg to check this one out!!!...read morehide

- ABS standard, air bags standard, lot of models in this range is an option
- haven't gotten comfortable in driver seat yet, but getting there.
I'm very pleased withthis vehicle. I did a lot of comparison shopping and
what honda packs as a standard package like ABS, full airbags, and the
fuel economy and it was basically a no brainer. I was set on buying the
Nissan Altima but it just couldn't stack up. On a side note, I would recommend using a site like edumds or kelley blue book to get dealers
to contact you with quotes. It made the shopping experience a whole lot
easier because I was able to do a lot of the negotiating and pin each
dealer up against eachother through e-mail. Sounds cruel but rememeber, you're in the business of getting yourself the best deal possible....read morehide

- SE package is a nice upgrade to the LX wheels, brakes and interior.
- SE offered in only silver/black and white/tan.
Still under 1,000 miles but first impressions count.
The bad: CD-RW stuck in the 6-CD changer the second day I had the car. A 2006 car stereo that can't play MP3s or handle CD-RW? Honda can do better.
Stereo controls and climate controls mixed together.
Annoying clicking between dash and and windshield pillar on passenger side.
4-wheel disc brakes are better than the LX dics/drum combo but still not confidence-inspiring.
The good: Front seat is roomy (I'm 6'2), comfortable, and has a good range of adjustments.
Handles very nicely and power-to-mileage ratio is pretty good too. Interior and exterior finishes are very nice and clean.
You can re-sell it in a year or two without taking a bath....read morehide

- Throttle Response; Size; Braking; 5-speed automatic; Value for $
- 16" Wheels and Tires; No XM with Stock Radio
Great looking and riding car for the money; Great throttle response for a 4 cyl; Decent gas mileage; Would highely recommend; Better than the Camry, Altima, Galant, and Sonata. DNarrowed it down between the Accord SE and Sonata for the money and went with the Honda. Brakes felt better and gas mileage and size were better with the Honda. The V6 Sonata still didn't sell me over the 4cyl Accord....read morehide

- Performance, Comfort, Looks, Quality and Reputation
- Back end is too wide looking still. Ivory interior requires all season floor mats in my opinion.
Just got this car Sept 27, 2005 and I love it. I owned a 2003 Honda Accord LX and upgraded to the 2006 Accord EX V6 with XM in Carbon Bronze Pearl with the Ivory leather interior. This new color is drop dead gorgeous. I get compliment all the time about this color. I'm 33 old male and was considering a 10 month old Acura TL but decided on the new Accord V6 EX instead. The Accord, dare I say it, is the rational mans Acura. This car has no right to be as good as it is at $27K, which is what I paid for it. I feel that this car is as good as the TL in nearly every category. There is one thing I wish the Accord had and that is the Acura TL rear end. The new rear end is better just not as taut looking as the TL's.
Things I love about this car. Engine is fierce. Interior is perfectly executed. You sit in a Honda and everything is where you would expect it to be. I've owned 4 Honda's in my life and I can tell you that these cars only need gas, the occasional oil change and the yearly rotate and balance. The car is flat out fantastic.
I'm a single man and I know that if the person I'm dating owns a Honda then there at least of sound mind!...read morehide
