- Good gas mileage, good looking car
- road noise, reliability, cheaply made interior, stereo
Purchased As New
This is my 1st honda and I'm not impressed. I had to replace rear brakes within 1st year, the road noise is horrible, and the interior materials look cheap. The stereo leaves a lot to be desired. I have only 32000 miles on my car and was told my rotors needed to be replaced because of jerking when braking. not happy :(...read morehide

- fuel economy
- parking brake slips, hard to shift, bad paint, blind spots, hard to get into, road noise
Purchased As New
shortly after purchasing this car we noticed rust spots in the paint, dealer gave us the run around, the parking brake started slipping, the rubber trim around one of the windows had to be replaced, 3rd gear is almost impossible to find, the seat belt is hard to reach, blind spots everywhere, road noise is so bad you can't hear the radio, and my husband and I both hit our knees on the dash getting in. The wining noise when in reverse is horrible. MPG is only good thing about this car....read morehide

- economy, no GPS standard
- the steering too soft, reverse sensor sound volume too low
Good car but need some improvement of noise of engine compared to some Honda model imported from Japan. My car is assembled in Malaysia. Need stringent QC.

- Nicely done overall
- The seat is TERRIBLE. The lumbar support is terrible
Nice car, except for one amazing problem. The drivers seat has a lumbar support designed to torture the driver. Even when deflated to the lowest position, it is like a lump in the back. How can something like the lumbar support be so poorly done? I can't imagine how this lumbar support was designed so badly.
Also, not able to see real time mpg. I mean, why not? A simple LED readout. OBDII provides this information and yet Honda does not use it? Why?
Bottom line, would be a great car if the lumbar support was not so obnoxious....read morehide

- Good Fuel Economy, Comfortable Car
- More rattles than a 10 year old car should have
In terms of handling, comfort, and appearance, the Accord performs acceptably. While the car may not be outstanding in any one category, the package at the price point is about as good as it gets in this vehicle class.
I test drove all competitors. I conducted extensive research. In the end, I picked the Accord, a car I presume will be safe, reliable, economical to operate, will retain its value, and will provide a modicum of creature comforts.
I am a bit disconcerted by the number of rattles that have developed in the first couple months of use. That's the only negative worth mentioning at this point.
The 190 HP engine is relatively powerful. It is adequate for my needs. Traveling 50% highway and 50% city, I have been averaging about 28 MPGs in summer driving for the first 2000 miles.
Overall, I am content with the Accord purchase....read morehide

- Secong year model
- Honda rise the price cross all model for 09 vs. 08, not a thing is changed
American Honda increased the price by $395 cross all model for 09 and not a thing change from 08. With same load, 08 Honda price are higher than 08 Toyota camry and 08 Nissan Altima. Will Honda sale more 09 Accord than 08 Accord? Time will tell.
