- Comfortable and economical
- GPS screen does not always light up, making it unreliable
I am very disappointed in ther GPS system screen in this car. I got the GPS at great cost, and it has proven totally unreliable due to the screen having problems. The dealer has tryed on 3 occasions to remedy, including replacing the unit, to no avail. It still gives me trouble. I do not know what to do at this point, since the problem is not correctable at the dealer level....read morehide

- Great gas mileage especially if you are a city driver, big trunk, voice recognition for all controls
- GPS program is not completely up to date, seat fold down release is in the trunk
I absolutely love this car. All of the features are very convenient and easy to use. I have only noticed two things that I do not like about the car and that is the seat fold down release is in the trunk and not inside the car. I also do not like that the navigation system is not fully up to date with roads that I think it should know about. This car is also great on fuel efficiency and the nav system will tell you how much you are using and how many miles are left on your current tank. I also enjoy that I can tell the car to adjust volume, heat, or have icons appear on the map all while driving and not having to take my eyes off the road....read morehide

- Great Comfort, Fuel Economy, Quality, Ride and Handling
- Trunk a bit small, MP3 Jack hidden away, no 4th gear on auto tranny.
Purchased 08 Accord 190hp on 7/15/08 with 34 miles on it, put about 800miles on it, then on 7/31/08 went on a 3500 mile adventure over 12 days. Car was flawless, outstanding road car, quiet, comfortable, outstanding luxuries. The entire 3500 miles average 28.5 mpg, fully load with 4 people, trunk filled with luggage and A/C on. Speeds on highway 80/85mph. Handles fantastic, seat are outstanding. The 190hp had plenty of power even coming on to the highway via on ramps. These engines do like to rev, power is plentiful above 4000 rpms. Nothing major to complain about. Brakes did create a lot of brake dust on the rims and seems to require quite a bit more peddle pressure then our 08 Honda CRV.
The stereo is great, 6 cd/mp3 changer in dash is great. Nav system worked flawlessly. The mp3 jack is placed inside the center arm rest, don't like that and the trunk was tight, 1 large suitcase, 2 medium and 1 medium duffle bag, totally stuffed. Seems small for a car this large. Auto Tranny should offer a 4th gear option or triptonic type setup like the german cars. Great feel especially on highway, steering is perfect, mix between german engineering and american comfort. Bumps are soaked up, very composed even at excessive speeds, cruises effortlessly.
Honda hit a home run, love the look, grows on you, at first was like, its ok, but now the edges, lines, love it....read morehide

- Great navigation system, very nice engine.
- Feels cheap
I bought the Honda Accord based on it's reputation. After driving it I'm dissappointed with the overall quality of the materials. The leather seats, after 16,000 miles, have already started cracking on the side bolsters (it's very cheap 'leather'), and while driving the car at freeway speeds you have to speak up..it's loud inside from wind/road noise. I'm not completely unhappy with the car, but for $30,000 I think Honda skimped on the quality and I'll look elsewhere for my next car....read morehide

- OK Fuel economy, nice looking, roomy rear, xm sat radio
- Nav needs updating, small trunk, road noise, no vents for air to back seat
I should have kept my Odyssey, this Accord may get better gas mileage but on average I'm getting 30 mpg not the high 30's as many state. The is NO storage in this vehicle! glove box tight, center console small. As a female who goes everywhere with a pocketbook, I'm tired of bending my arm backward to put it in the back seat floor if someone is sitting with me! Also putting it in the trunk is getting old!
If people are sitting in the back they are saying that the air-conditioning is not reaching them. Why are aren't there any rear vents on the back of center console??? Engine is loud when trying to pass and has poor initial pickup, especially on a hill.
The possitives are : nice looking vehicle that makes me feel like I'm doing my part to save on energy....read morehide

- Comfortable, Quiet, fair fuel economy
- 08 Honda Brakes are still an issue, back brakes replaced at 14K
Just came from the dealership where I was told that the back brakes on my Accord were already worn and needed replacing at 14,000 miles. I drive a combination of HWY and city miles so to me this is nuts. I think even in cith driving the possibility of having to replace brake pads every 10 months is just poor engineering. Also FYI the front brakes were still at 90%, What??? Sounds like the braking sytem set on the Accors is yet another issue for a long time accord owner to have to deal with. If they cant do better with discs they should go back to drums.
Overall the car is great, I think the best Accord ever. The Bluetooth system is also a little bit dated even compared to a Ford, only fully fuctiononal with Sony Ericsonn handsets. Come on who has a Sony handset, my 10 year old daughter does. Really get with the times Honda....read morehide

- Great overall mid-size daily driver, looks expensive, comfortable, good size, excellent economy 4cl
- Road Noise, no memory seats, no split fold rear seat, no fog lights on 4 cyl model
Great Value, Expensive looking design, with only a few compromises (add dual memory seats, fog lights, HIDs, LED Tails, split fold rear seat, man/auto shifter) on the 4 cyl model for an extra $1K and this would be a perfect car.
First shopped Lexus ES350, MB E350, BMW 535, Volvo S80, Acura RL. Cost $20-30K less for a car that is almost as nice as the above. I was prepared to spend up to $45K, but these cars would have pushed the budget into the mid 50s (except the Lexus at 42K). Simply could not justify this when the Honda was available for $26.2K before taxes not a lot of haggling off the 28K MSRP.
4 cyl engine is great for a 4, good power, good mileage, wish I could find a manual trans EX-L with Nav. I actually like the 4 over the 6 with the ECV although a little louder at times, the added mileage and lower cost won hands down....
Previous cars were Volvo 740, Volvo 960 and MB E320. Not quite as stable as the Euro sedans on open roads, but a good compromise and choice under 30K. Yes the MB/BMW/Volvos are a nicer cars, but no way twice as nice.. I'll keep the extra $20K and drive this nice vehicle anyday... The new little MB C class, Volvo S40/60, BMW 1 and 3 Series are nice, but just not worth $10-15K more than the Accord EX-L Nav with the 4 banger that get 30 MPG compared to these with 6s getting low 20s MPG.. Fuel mileage really matters these days... Toyota Camary was close, but just not a nice a car overall....read morehide

- Powerful engine, good fuel economy, comfy ride
- None at all
I have yet to find a flaw. It's a great car. Lots of leg room, comfy seats, lots of space in the trunk. Most importantly, it's like riding on air. A very smooth ride, it handles perfectly.

- fuel economy is good
- after 1500 miles,a lot of vibrations in dash, loud engine for 4 cyl
good car but needs more improvement, the vibrations and sounds you can hear in the dashboard is so annoying.
