- Nice looking, roomy, handles sharply. fair mpg
- driver seat uncomfortable.
MPG for mixed driving is 26, with a light foot. Thought I could get it a bit higher with light driving, but no go so far. Four has enough power for me, but needs to wind out to get the extra punch. That's ok with me. Really like the size of the vehicle and the head room. Love the looks of the cabin, much nicer than Camry for less dough. But you must spend an hour in the drivers seat if you are six foot plus. For God's sake its a nightmare on your back. There is NO padding in this seat, and it is ergonomically goofed up. No lie. If you are spending the extra money for the EXL, take a good look at what you are getting for your money. OUCH....read morehide

- Apperance & Performance for a four banger
- Options in the EX-L are not upto par with other in class
I have owned five Accords since 1984 and this EX-L 2008 is nice, but falls short of what the 2003 that it replaced. One should not have to buy the top of the line EX-L V6 just to get the Home Link garage door actuator in the car. The addition of opening the Sun/Moon Roof with all other windows when using the remote open window function is not desireable. Comfort has been reduced considerably for driver feel. Driver feel is great if you are a 25 year old hot rod with a 25 year old wife, but if you are a 61 year old grandpa one enjoys comfort too. I feel like I bought a Chevrolet Impala of several years ago. The new Chevy Impalas measure up quiet well with the Accord. Seriously re-considering this last purchase might be a mistake. Remote key fob has already quit and the car is not even 24 hours off the dealer lot with less than 50 miles on it... Four banger still a little buzzy....read morehide

- Excellent MPG hiway..fair city MPG..roomy..all controls excellent..high reliability
- Road noise unbearable..cruise control very poor..seating uncomfortably hard
This 08 is my 5th Honda EX trim vehicle...and the worst for road noise and cruise control performance. When you re-engage cruise, the vehicle accelerates like a rocketship, and passengers complain about the excessive G-forces. Seats are comfortable on short hops, but 8 hours of driving on a road trip is very uncomfortable. Were this my first Honda, it would have been the last....read morehide

- great fuel economy, good speakers, easy to drive, reliable
- not the best cd player, brakes and handling not too great on wet roads
Its a great car, extremely reliable, excellent fuel economy, grows on you quick.. it can get a bit unpredictable in the rain if you're in a hurry, otherwise, i don't regret having this car.

- rear seat is comfortable nice sound system
- takes forever to fill fuel tank Cupholder is underneath armrest (duh)
Leather seats are hard as wooden chairs. No power plugs in rear seat area. Closest power outlet is in front armrest thar is slightly behind driver in armrest that is overtop of the cupholder. Should have looked before I leaped. It rides like and has the comfort of a chevette.

- Sleek new body. Nice leather and wood.
- Honda seems to have compromised quality to save a few dollars in the interior.
I owned a 2002 v6 Accord Coupe and absolutely loved it (I think it's the nicest Accord ever made) The only missing in it was heated seats which I don't really care for.
Now, the 2008 Accord also looks beautiful and finally has the heated seats. The leather and wood trim makes me feel like I'm in a higher priced luxury car. They finally moved the sunroof controls from the driver-side near the steering wheel to near the sunroof where they belong.
Overall, I think Honda did a great job with this new design. I didn't really like the models from 2003-07 and this new body is a huge step up. It resembles a 5 series BMW and the recessed accent line across the entire side and trunk is really cool.
There are a few SMALL problems I found inside:
I didn't get the navigation system so there is a screen that displays the radio settings, clock, compass, and climate control. But the screen is analog (stick figured numbers and words) and looks really cheap. I hated it at first but got used to it. I remember the 1998 Mitsubishi Diamante had a futuristic luxury screen compared to this one and that was 10 years ago. The speedometer dials are too simple. The transmission shifter and cupholder console area looks really cheap as well, plain black plastic. The armrest in the my 2002 Accord was dual-leveled, a small compartment on top for pens with a built-in change holder, and a big bottom compartment. This 2008 model only has one big compartment with a flimsy tray that I have spilled twice already and all my pens fell between the seats (what a pain in the neck). The 02 model had a change holder near the steering wheel that would slide out and securely hold the change and the 08 model has a simple insert with no cover so the change falls out when the road is bumpy, not cool. I just feel like Honda saved a few dollars where they could and compromised interior quality. I have read many reviews and no one seems to be bothered by these issues but as a Honda enthusiast I am unhappy with these little flaws.
I think its a nice car but the 2002 was still the best. Plus, the 2002 v6 was 200hp which was swift. The 2008 i4 is 190hp but it's not even close to the 2002. I guess the 2 extra cylinders explain that. I thought the 190hp i4 would provide a sufficient amount of power but I regret I didn't get a v6. I was trying to conserve on fuel, not power.
And whats up with the tail-lights?

- Fuel economy great, ride quality, sound system, trunk space awesome
- Transmission shifting is catchy
The '08 Accord is a great looking ride and offers nice features for it's price range. Hopeful that the Honda quality reputation will prove true in this model. Have a '95 Civic still on the road so hope to repeat the longevity. Leather seat quality is awesome for this car- as well as the sound system....read morehide

- Great standard features on EX-L model
- None yet
I just bought my EX-L last night after weeks of research. Thus far the Accord has exceeded my expectations. I love the standard features, the style, and comfort of the car. To get a new, reliable, safe car with leather, power seats/windows, 6 disc CD changer, and XM radio for $23,728 is a steal - especially considering the way Accords hold their value. I highly recommend this vehicle....read morehide
