- THIS CAR IS AMAZING! I LOVE THE GAS MILEAGE THAT IM GETTING WITH THE VCM, THE CAR IS GREAT!
IF YOU ARE IN THE MARKET FOR A NEW SEDAN, I WOULD RECOMEND THE NEW HONDA ACCORD! VERY STYLISH WITH ITS NEW BODY STYLE IN 2008! I DROVE THE NEW CAMRY, BUT EVERYTHING ON THE DASH WAS MADE REAL CHEAP LOOKING! NOTICE THIS IF YOU ARE COMPARING BETWEEN THE CAMRY VS ACCORD. THE CAR HANDELS GREAT, DRIVES VERY SMOOTH ON WET ROADS. THE VCM MANAGMENT LETS YOU COVERT FROM 3,4,6 CYLINDERS ON YOUR DRIVING HABITS. I DRIVE MOSTLY IN TOWN, SOME HIGHWAY AND ON AVERAGE IM GETTING 32MPG. YOU WILL LOVE THIS CAR!...read morehide

- Great looking car with 19 mpg in city 29 on hwy.
- Jumping motion when car is driven when cold. Had to the dealer 4 times so far. They say it's normal.
Also I just put 25,000 miles on my 2008 honda that I bought 1 year ago and am told it needs the rear brakes replaced. Due to a change in the design these will have to be changes quite often. I will trade mine in before I do this every year. Even though I still have a 36,000 mile warranty they say this is not covered. It's bad when the outer brake in the back is just fine but the inside next to the calibers are worn out. Go figure, the new design is not working Honda! Thanks for the quote of 189.00 to fix them. I am telling everyone I know not to buy this car!...read morehide

- Styling is great
- Fuel Economy, VCM Shudders when shifting, Rattles, Bad Seats
Intially we fell in love with the Honda design and reputation for reliabilty. After a short test drive we bought our Accord, this is the start of a long journey through the warranty repair process. Our Accord delevoped a very loud rattle in the back of the car and in the dashboard, this is a very loud rattle and irratating. The seat wobbles and very rough to adjust the seat. When driving slow and VCM is in ECo mode it seems to get stuck and shudders when upshifting. Our mileage on the highway is good around 24 miles a gallon, intown we are only getting 14 or so, not even close to Honda's claim of 19 mpg. We have had the car at the dealer 4 times for the listed problems and they have not been able to fix any of the issues. We were also told by the service manager that we would have to live with the seats, mileage VCM. We wrote Honda about our problem, sending 4 certified letters, Honda is very uncommitted to resolving the issues. We have filed under the lemon law for a vehicle by back. Great styling, Great sunroof, dash layout. handling, but rough ride, high road noise over 70, no vents in rear, really needs seat memory, fuel consumption gauge, head rest are uncomfortable. We are buying a G35 to replace the Accord,...read morehide

- THE BEST OF ALL!
You can buy a BMW or Mercedes and spend so much money and gas but the same comfort, speed, appearance and luxury this Honda has plus the reliability. Tank fills up to 18 gallons and 268-hp V6 engine switching between 4 and 6 cylinders is a great deal on a gas usage. It is very spacious. We have also added a Cilajet which is a great thing when you have kids. You dont have to worry about ever getting your car dirty! It is a great buy and I would recomend this car to anyone....read morehide

- Large, comfortable interior, excellent sound system
- V6 engine "jumpy" Lower than expected MPG
This car was made for road trips! The powerful engine gets on to the freeway with incredible dexterity, and once it settles into cruising speed the ECO light is your only sign that the car has shut down unnecessary cylinders to safe fuel. It is quiet and comfortable. This fits 4 adults very comfortably and has a cavernous trunk. The placement of the speakers, the integrated XM, and the subwoofer make listening to music a real joy at any volume.
The weakness of this car shows up when driving around town. When stopping and starting at serial stoplights, you really notice the weight of the car. Sometimes you can feel the VCM struggling to find the right cylinders slowing down. Parking is actually a little more challenging than it should be for a sedan. The trunk really sticks out there, and a rear-view camera would be a useful option. (While I am thinking of it, a real time MPG read-out would be nice too).
I bought this car for the legendary Honda quality, and powerful fuel-efficient V6. After driving the car for a few weeks, I think that the Honda engineers should have done more refinements before putting it into the Accord. I get about 23-24 MPG in mixed driving, but think that this would be much improved if I stayed on the highway and just enjoyed the music....read morehide

- looks . fit & finish . value for the price . quality in & out
- only one thing...seats are unusally firm
I opted for the 268hp V6 with the leather package. The only the thing I would change is to make the seats a little softer. However, after a month I do find them softening up and are much more comfortable. I have the Red Pearl and have actually had people stop me in parking lots to ask what color the Accord is. I find the 268hp engine to be fast and a lot of fun to drive. I just turned 1,700 miles and was taking a 200 mile trip. I tracked the fill up and got 26.88 MPG combined with the trip and driving in the city to go to work.
To the prospective people that are reading reviews to make a possible purchase and see things like the car is junk, or it does not get good gas milage, or it is not fast, or the interior materials look cheap I say to you DO NOT BELIEVE THE REVIEWS. Test drive the Accord for yourself and you make the judgement. This car is all that!!!...read morehide

- Good fuel economy, Great engine,
- A little rough on uneven pavement.
Just picked up my EX-L V6 08 Accord sedean. It is everything I expected out of Honda. From the closing of the doors, the dash, the interior and the design all speaks to Honda quality. The engine is strong and the automatic transmission is smooth. The interior is well thought out and the leather and controls on the dash feel right. Buying a Honda is partly about buying a peace of mind. So like the last accord I bought I have peace of mind and a great car....read morehide

- Excellent Fuel Economy, Large trunk, Beautiful build quality, and Fun to Drive
- Black leather shows dirt really bad
I purchased my third Honda Accord in November to replace my high mileage 06' Accord. I was amazed by how well crafted and well designed the new Accord was compared to the previous generation and instantly fell in love with it. Once I test drove the new Accord I was sold, from the new interior desing to the new sound system it is filled with great features. I have had my 08' Accord for almost 6 months now and have had no problems at all and im getting 30 mpg in regular city driving, on the highway 34 mpg! The new Accord is a must buy if you are looking for an extremely reliable, fun , safe, and fuel efficient vehivle under 32K!...read morehide

- Looks good on the outside. Rides nice
- Poor acceleration for a 260 hp engine. Instruments in strange places. Int looks cheap.
We'll see how well the car holds up in the long run. However, right now I have to say it wasn't worth the price.
