Purchased As New
The 2008 Honda Accord Sedan is a perfect family vehicle. Plenty of room and drives great. Fuel economy is excellent and safety rating is high. Highly recommend this car for those of you looking for a sedan.

- Smooth ride, excellent interior layout, comfortable driver's seat, responsive climate controls
- No detent on shifter going into drive
I traded a 4WD for my Accord for the fuel economy and practicality and was pleasantly suprised at the vehicle now that I have had a chance to put some miles on it. The interior is great - lots of little storage cubbies and pockets. Noise levels are fine and the standard sound system is pretty good. Road handling is better than expected for a 4 door sedan of this size and mileage so far has been as advertised, averaging 26 - 27mpg combined. Cruise controls are easy to use and work flawlessly. Visibility is good and ergonomics of all controls and gauges works fine for me. The trunk is very roomy and access from the interior is a handy feature. My passengers have all commented on the ride and comfort level. My only con is that the shifter doesn't naturally stop at "D" when you move it and I find myself dropping it into D3 more often than not but once you get used to this it's no big deal....read morehide

- Acceleration, Seating.
- Steering wheel blocks gauges. Bouncy ride. Heavy steering.
Good: Acceleration with the standard four cylinder & automatic was strong. Seating was comfortable. Leg and head room was ample.
Bad: The ride is very busy, almost 'bouncy'. The speed-sensitive variable-effort power-steering remains too heavily weighted at at low speeds.
Interior design flaw: When the steering wheel is adjusted to a comfortable driving position, it blocks the upper 1/3 of the gauge cluster - obstructing view of the speed and tachometer dials and the turn signal indicators. A center-dash mounted gauge cluster would have rectified the situation....read morehide

- lots of road/wind noise, seats uncomfortable, paint has lots of orange peal,Took the car on a long dr
This accord not as good as earlier models which were tighter with less engine noise. Rear deck is pretty high and is difficult to see out back window.I have the car 8 months and I'm getting ready to trade it in, Price of car compared to others in class is higher , but not worth it. Shame on you Honda...read morehide

- Good Fuel Economy
- Drivers seat is pretty uncomfortable
I've had this car for about a month now and it is great on gas. Drives well and looks great to. Only con to it is the driver seat. I'm a short person and can not get the seat to adjust perfectly for my height. Other than that, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

- good mpg, looks, resale (fortunately!"")
- puny trunk, driver seat not comfortable, wants to run away, rear seat stationary
Very peppy but wants to run too fast with foot off accelerator, Trunk is tiny and the rear seats do not fold forward...I presumed they did when I bought the car...was so sorry since I only can own one vehicle. The seat was not good for my bad back. Fairly quiet, transmission usually shifted smooth but occasion clunking in traffic.
Handling was very good, reliability was fine, (7600 miles) though always thoght the idle was too high. Interior so so, not many storage spaces.....never let a friend talk you into a vehicle you are not really sure of...
Popular so easy to sell...thankful for that as I got a small Korean SUV that is so much more comfortable and convenient. Not as peppy but more solid feeling. I think it might be heavier.
I learned a 3K lesson...what I had to pay more for the new SUV over what I got for it...oh well...read morehide

- Good fuel economy, smooth ride, very roomy
I traded in my 2005 Saab 93t on Saturday for the Honda LX-P and I absolutely LOVE this car. I was worried that I would miss my Saab since it was a high performance car but the Accord is so luxurious that I don't miss having leather seats or a sunroof (which I never used anyway). I am very happy with my purchase and only wished I had bought this car 4 months ago instead of putting $1400 into the Saab due to regular scheduled maintenance....read morehide

- THE LOOKS..roomy and nice interior with easy to use controls on the steering wheel!
- Brakes are OK..driver seat is uncomfortable for a long drive...so so power!
brakes are okk...for some reason I think they should be better for a brand new car! The driver seat can be adjusted very well but is uncomfortable for a 6'2 guy. Satisfied but back hurts on a long drive!

- Great fuel economy for size, just enough power, great brakes, plenty of features
- Seats become unsupportive over long trips, trunk layout is not flat
Recently bought a 2008 Honda Accord LX-P with the 2.4l 5-spd auto in Alabaster silver, and couldn't be happier. The style is a real head-turner, I get compliments on the car everywhere I go, and it's just an Accord!
I just got back from a trip to Memphis, TN (1,400 miles, round-trip), and I found that the 2.4l 4-cylinder has more than enough power to quickly accelerate to 90 mph to keep up with I-55 traffic. I thought city driving would be a chore since the car is big, classified as a large car by the EPA in fact, but I was wrong. Accelerating, switching lanes, and panic braking all feel incredibly smooth and very safe. I had to endure St. Louis and Memphis traffic, and had a great time dodging around 5 lanes of traffic in the Accord. Also tracks very well in wet conditions. One of my only cons, and it is very popular with every sedan, is that the seats became very uncomfortable after 5 hours of travel-time.
The features on the car are excellent. The audio and cruise control buttons on the steering wheel are expertly positioned to find your thumbs when needed. Car has tons of airbags, and the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), keeps the car stable in every situation I've encountered.
Overall, it's a great car. It's big, looks like a BMW for half the price, and is a very well tuned instrument for the road. Everything seems to work smoothly and efficiently (34 mpg, all highway driving; 26 mpg mixed). This car is a definite upgrade compared to the 2006 Nissan Altima I had leased before the Accord. Being that it is a Honda, it will be a car I can, and will, keep for at least 15 years....read morehide
