2008 Honda Accord Sedan User Reviews
EX 5-Spd MT shown
- $10,360 - $14,830
- 21 MPG on Highway, Terrible.
Replaced CV joint first 1500 miles, car had vibration afterwards. Replaced wheels and tires.
Lots of road noise. Gas mileage is not even close to the sticker advertisement. Was told at the dealership that, you can't go by that. That was the primary reason for buying this car. Traded in a civic lx, and would love to have it back.
I do not recommend Pensacola Honda service department, because they tried to pass on some kind of Bulls--t why the car had a vibration. I have been a mechanic for forty years. I will never have another Honda of any kind again....read morehide

- Smooth ride, excellent interior layout, comfortable driver's seat, responsive climate controls
- No detent on shifter going into drive
I traded a 4WD for my Accord for the fuel economy and practicality and was pleasantly suprised at the vehicle now that I have had a chance to put some miles on it. The interior is great - lots of little storage cubbies and pockets. Noise levels are fine and the standard sound system is pretty good. Road handling is better than expected for a 4 door sedan of this size and mileage so far has been as advertised, averaging 26 - 27mpg combined. Cruise controls are easy to use and work flawlessly. Visibility is good and ergonomics of all controls and gauges works fine for me. The trunk is very roomy and access from the interior is a handy feature. My passengers have all commented on the ride and comfort level. My only con is that the shifter doesn't naturally stop at "D" when you move it and I find myself dropping it into D3 more often than not but once you get used to this it's no big deal....read morehide

- Comfortable and economical
- GPS screen does not always light up, making it unreliable
I am very disappointed in ther GPS system screen in this car. I got the GPS at great cost, and it has proven totally unreliable due to the screen having problems. The dealer has tryed on 3 occasions to remedy, including replacing the unit, to no avail. It still gives me trouble. I do not know what to do at this point, since the problem is not correctable at the dealer level....read morehide

- An Acura in disguise, V6 is powerful, excellent build quality, leather and nav worth it
- blind spot at C pillar, doors shut solidly but sound tinny, center stack is a bit busy
This car is a good, not great drive. Solid value proposition and a sensible choice. The car will satisfy, but not excite. My last car was a 2004 Passat. The car "fit" me better, and while less powerful, was way more fun to drive. The dealership experience at VW turned me off, thus the Honda.
The rear pass-thru opening is smallish. Fuel economy is as expected. Acceleration is surprisingly robust. Bells and whistles abound and add to the car.
Check your driver's seat position- I have a hard time "getting fixed" in a just right driver's position- the seat is too wide for my admittedly thin (6'0" 176lbs) frame. Unless you are a large person, there is no driving cocoon.
Exterior dimensions are excessive for what should be a mid-sized car....read morehide

- Poor Built
I am a real customer not a dealer and believe me this car is not at all good. So many flaws, I would say do not believe me and take this for a test drive and believe yourself. This car has so much road noise and rattling starts right after 2 months. This car is built on poor quality material. I have been driving this car for 1 year and I would not advice anyone to buy this car. Before you buy take a very good test drive and if you comfortable with rattles, squeaks, cabin noises and steering vibration then buy this car other stay way from it. It will be big pain later on....read morehide

- Good on gas
I purchased my car in March 2008. After a few months it was making a rattling noise while I was driving, whether the radio was on or not.
My husband found out that it was the break light in the rear window that was vibrating against the window.
I took it to the Honda dealer where I purchased the car and they resolved the problem.
I am now noise free!
I owned a 1995 (new) Honda Accord and later in 2001 purchased a Mazda 626. I should have bought another Honda instead.
I will never leave Honda again!
I love my Honda and would recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish yet fuel efficient car....read morehide

- THIS CAR IS AMAZING! I LOVE THE GAS MILEAGE THAT IM GETTING WITH THE VCM, THE CAR IS GREAT!
IF YOU ARE IN THE MARKET FOR A NEW SEDAN, I WOULD RECOMEND THE NEW HONDA ACCORD! VERY STYLISH WITH ITS NEW BODY STYLE IN 2008! I DROVE THE NEW CAMRY, BUT EVERYTHING ON THE DASH WAS MADE REAL CHEAP LOOKING! NOTICE THIS IF YOU ARE COMPARING BETWEEN THE CAMRY VS ACCORD. THE CAR HANDELS GREAT, DRIVES VERY SMOOTH ON WET ROADS. THE VCM MANAGMENT LETS YOU COVERT FROM 3,4,6 CYLINDERS ON YOUR DRIVING HABITS. I DRIVE MOSTLY IN TOWN, SOME HIGHWAY AND ON AVERAGE IM GETTING 32MPG. YOU WILL LOVE THIS CAR!...read morehide

- Acceleration, Seating.
- Steering wheel blocks gauges. Bouncy ride. Heavy steering.
Good: Acceleration with the standard four cylinder & automatic was strong. Seating was comfortable. Leg and head room was ample.
Bad: The ride is very busy, almost 'bouncy'. The speed-sensitive variable-effort power-steering remains too heavily weighted at at low speeds.
Interior design flaw: When the steering wheel is adjusted to a comfortable driving position, it blocks the upper 1/3 of the gauge cluster - obstructing view of the speed and tachometer dials and the turn signal indicators. A center-dash mounted gauge cluster would have rectified the situation....read morehide

- Runs on regular unleaded , Roomy and comfortable interior, good sharp handeling, outstanding design
- Could use a little more torque, some road noise on rough asphalt.
I paid just under $25,000 thousand for this car. Comes with leather seats, satellite radio, 6 cd in dash player, 17 inch alloy wheels, sun roof, and factory alarm . This is allot of car for the money! I used to own a 2006 VW Passat...It was a great car but lacked many of the Accords extras. Overall I am very pleased with this car! The suspension is wonderful, and it can it can turn on a dime...This in itself is surprising from a car this large. The four cylinder power plant is quiet and smooth with its rated 190 ponies. And it does not require super unleaded like my VW did. Currently it has approx 4,000 miles on it and I have not encountered any problems....read morehide
