Purchased As New
This is my second Honda, my first being a 1998 civic hatchback and that was a great little car. I decided to go with Honda again because of it's reputation of building quality cars, I was wrong.
The drivers seat has to be the most uncomfortable one I've ever sat in (mind you I've owned domestic and foreign cars). The lumbar support area feels like it just pushing you in the back. There's no need to adjust the darn thing!!! I'm constantly getting back pain every time I drive the car, ridiculous. Next, the transmission has to be the least responsive tranny ever. It constantly hesitates and when you slow down to almost a stop and speed up again it will jerk your head back. Shifts from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd are rough. I must concur with other posts that the car does rattle a bit. There's some kind of noise coming from the lower dash but I can't pinpoint it.
I hope premature brake wear issues that plagued the 2008-2009 models don't affect the 2010. IF so I'm probably going to sell this car and get something more comfortable.
My other 2 choices prior to getting this car was a Subaru Legacy 3.6R or a CPO 328i. I thought I was getting a good car, maybe I should have just gone with my gut and go with one of the others.
BTW, I didn't test drive the Subaru but I did try out the 328i and it was very impressive. Handled extremely well, stops on a dime, and definitely has more get up and go. I know it's on a different level but I think I'm going to spend the extra dough and get something that I'm more happier with.
