2011 Honda Accord Sedan

- Great Fuel Economy, Very Roomy inside, Great Looks
Purchased As New
I just bought this car 2 weeks ago, and quite honestly, we got everything we wanted in a car, weve test drove a fusion, altima, and malibu, and this Accord stands head and shoulders above the others. More Interior room than the others, better ride.

- Reliable, comfortable vehicle that's economical to own and operate
- High resale value makes used Accords almost as expensive as new ones

This car is awesome, despite what the Honda haters below are saying. They rate the car "poor" in every category, yet they bought the car anyway? Idiots! Toyota, Nissan and the domestics make many great products. I bought the Accord due to its higher resale value as I trade often. I had a 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and this 2011. Haven't had a problem with any of them. The Accord seats are more firm than in the Toyota, and the suspension is stiffer making the ride feel sportier than the Toyota. This doesn't change after the test drive! If you test drive the car, what you see is what you get...for any manufacture. I haven't noticed the seats to be uncomfortable, but that's subjective I suppose. I have the 4 cylinder with the 5 speed automatic. The 4 cylinder in the EX puts out 190hp which is plenty!! The drivetrain was tweeked for 2011. I drive conservatively and get 24-25mpg city; 27-28 combined; and 33-34 hwy. I also top the fuel tank off to the point where I see the gas in the filler neck. When I do so and travel on the hwy, I can get over 600 miles per tank on this car. I love the USB jack in the arm console for playing tunes through the radio off my memory stick! The negatives are no exterior temp gauge, still bland styling at least compared to the Camry SE, and I hate the limited interior color selections of ivory for most exterior colors. I wanted the burgandy exterior but it only comes with the ivory interior which is an ugly gold color to me. Pricey to go from one model to the next...about $2,000 more for an EX-L over an EX; and another $2,000 to get the V-6 over a 4 cylinder....read morehide

i bought the '10 model but i wanna share my experience to make ppl aware.1st of all i dont know how this car got 4 star overall rating. I traded in my 2004 honda civic in hoping that this midsize car would give me a more stable ride and better acceleration. Came out to be wrong. before buying i was a fan of honda and like their car style, however; i just couldn'tbear the negatives n problems this car gives. this car already gave me a defective brake the scratches the rotor on the 2nd week of my driving. To start off-the engine doesn't feel as powerful as a 2004 toyota camry 4 cylinder with 158hp. it feels like it has to make a hard effort to accelerate with a loud engine reeving noise, the toyota and nissan just go solid when you tab the padel a little.
now the worse part is the tranny. i dont even know wtf the ivtec does. seems like its just bs. anyways when you gas the car from a stop, it accelerates really hard like going 150%, then pause and let loose(feels like the gear was on neutral for 2 seconds. plus i think the 2nd or 3rd gear jerks quite noticebly. it doesn't operate smooth or normal at all. and i heard honda tranny is ez to break after 2-3 years, beware shoppers.
and then i hate myself after find out the 3 star safety crash on the rear passenger side crash. 3 star gives you a 20-35% chance of getting injured when a car slam you at 40mph according to national highway safety crash. What is more lame is that this paint job is really thin and cheaply done; you'll have to wash your car much more often and paint comes off after a while. it does however look shiny n glossy with some special effect clear coat but really thin layer.
the bottom line is i cant believe how young buyers and people fall for honda. their products are scammers. they know their cars dont have funky design. but i just found out this car is not worth the money compare to toyota, kia, or ford. I would take a focus or fusion over this car any day with more comfort, funtional, and quiet. BTW this car does have high level of wind noise that is unacceptable at freeway driving at 70mph.
i dont know how to laugh at this car and honda haha. its a shame honda has a regretted royfal fan like me. i actually kick and abuse this car a few times when it pissed me to the point i did it. My brother said the 2009 model actually has better looking front bumper, but trunk is uglier than this one.
please shoppers dont become like me. shop around, test drive cars like focus, fusion, corolla, altima, a3, or kia & or spend a little more to get entry luxury cars of lexus, bmw or used ones. this car is not worth your uncomfort, problems, and repairs. i m trying to sell this car to consider a used gs300, or brand new vw gti, a4, or g25. these cars actually make good engine, comfort n functional tranny which are standard to consumers, lastly safety.
honda justlike to scam ppl with their sharp look car n non funky (nice cheaty marketing strategy, honda!) but some look really crappy with the honeycomb grill like the civic. poor me -_-"...read morehide
