- Quick for a four cylinder, good on gas fun to drive V-TEC
- axels cost alot trans not so good
Purchased As New
I have had my 2000 Civic Si sents it was new. It has never broke down and it has 135,500 miles on it now. I have raced it for the S.C.C.A. and have had it at the drag strip a few times and have always been able to drive it home. I use V-TEC quite often and have never had a problem with the engine. I have now updated the trans to a J.D.M. SPEC trans with LSD cause the O.E.M. one went out on me......so far the new trans is doing fine 20,000 miles on it now aprox. Very fun car to drive. I always get asked if it is for sale and the answer is always the same NOPE. I dont think i will ever sell it. I might turn it into a full blown track car when I get my new 2009 Si Sedan. If anyone is thinking about buying one I would say do it but just look out for mods. Alot of times these kinds of cars slip into the wrong hands and can really do alot of harm not good. Try and find a unmodded adult driven one check for records of any kind to see when the fluids were changed and to see when the timing belt was last down. The timing belt should be changed every 85,000 miles.
But like I said, very nice car to own and drive, I could not be happyer with my 2000 Civic Si....read morehide
