- Solid Car. Sporty look and feel. Warms up quickly. Great bang for the buck.
- LX is not very comfortable. MPG is a bit less than advertised. Back Seat entry/exit.
A very solid car, meaning its a great bang for the buck. I have an 07 LX (purchased directly before 08's came out). My 99 Volvo S80 was on her last legs, and I wanted a coupe that was good on gas. I Looked at the Chevrolet Cobalt, but went with the Civic (the futuristic dash got me hooked!). The car is very sporty, fantastic handling, high quality fit and finish and is a great buy.
Impractical for me. I should have gotten the sedan, seeing as though I constantly use the backseat. The MPG is better than most cars, but I've noticed I'm averaging sub 30 MPG city/highway. It is a great number, but Honda markets it higher.
I wish I had purchased the EX version. The seats are a bit more comfortable, higher quality fit and finish, alloy wheels, sunroof and XM for a bargain price. Also, living in New England, it isn't the greatest for winter conditions (FWD, light weight, lack of traction/stability control).
Solid car, a few personal quarks but it gets the job done. I wouldn't buy it again because I need a bigger car with more utility now, but I would recommend it for someone looking for a less expensive, gas sipper who wants a sporty ride and a good look....read morehide

- beautiful car, great gas mileage and performance
- very noisy on interstate
I actually own a 2007. It is my first Honda because my husband is a big "Chevy" fan, but even he has been impressed with its quality for the price.

- Fuel, Comfortable, Good Handeling, Trunk Space
- Road Noise
This car has a blindspot that i cant get to see no matter how i adjust my mirrors. Other then that it is a amazing little car. It is small, good on fuel and actually pretty peppy for being a economy car. I really dont have any complaints to date.

- little noise, little rough ride, but very do able. Doesn't get 100 miles per gal HA!!
It's a great improvement over the older civics. We have a 2007. It's the first one of this body style we,ve had. Great car.

- Great Car! Wouldn't trade it for anything!
- Low Ride, but still comfortable
I bought my Honda Civic last fall before gas prices went sky high. Boy, I'm sure glad that I did now because I have saved a lot of money on gas. I don't drive a whole lot of miles since I work only 2 miles from home, so I only have to fill the car about every three to four weeks. I'm thinking that this car is going to be with me for many years to come....read morehide

- Great fuel economy, nice ride, standard ABS, and multiple air bags
- lacks body side molding for those "door dings" and would like to see std. alloy wheels on LX, not mu
I drive 100 miles a day round trip to work and have owned a number of vehicles over the years. The Civic is a great commuter car, providing a good ride with great fuel economy. I have gotten at least 35 MPG on each tank, so far, and have gotten as high as 38 MPG on one occasion. Great standard safety features, which are reflected on your car insurance, and great retail. I really have no negative comments....read morehide

- Roomy, attractive, and lots of safety features
- Hesitation when you "floor it" , a little road noise and no ashtray! Cheap alarm system
I bought it for the reputation, the safety features, and the look. However, I don't care for the upholstery pattern.
It needs a better alarm system seeing that someone shattered the passenger window and entered my car without setting off the alarm.
Maybe they were just jealous because they don't have a cool car!...read morehide

- Great MPG, digital speedometer, body styling, zippy when it wants to be
- some road noise
I have had this car for a year now. It is my first car, but i have driven others. It is no where near an acura but it is still a very comfortable ride. Being a student, this car saves a lot on gas even with the rising fuel costs. I fill up about every 2 weeks. Sound system is a lil weak for me but it serves it purpose....read morehide

- Good fuel economy, looks sporty, will have good resale
- Windows rattle when part way down, head rest rattles, part of frame rattles 3K miles in.
When I took the car in to check the window rattle, the dealership said that is just how they are made, and Accords have the same problem. That is the last thing you want to hear when you just spent $18K on a new car. I'm going to take it in again. Let's hope they change their mind this time....read morehide

- Unbelievable value, dependable, very smooth yet sporty fast, good gas mileage
- Not premium enough for LA; I ride it rough and need new brakes after 18k miles
If you want value, look no further. Honda's are simply extremely practical, from the purchase price to the reliability and maintenance cost to the unbelievable gas mileage (the non-hybrid does better than most hybrids!). The thing is you're not scrimping on "driveability" either. This car is really zippy. In fact, I regularly (read: always) zip from stop to go faster than the porsches, bmws, audi's, lexuses lined up beside me - not because I'm some crazy daredevil, but because it is simply a zippy, light car with good speed and extremely smooth automatic shifting I should also mention. The interior gets raves from most people that sit in it for the first time - particularly the mph gauge. It's a comfortable interior.
The only ding I give the Civic is that I live in LA and even the janitor has a BMW, so at times I do feel like perhaps, if possible, the Civic is TOO practical.
Take it or leave it, it's a great vehicle. The specs, performance and comfort are the same or better in my opinion than the 'premium' models out there, at half the price and cost of ownership. So it really depends what you want. At the end of a couple years, you've had fewer surprises and $20k in your pocket, but maybe fewer dates. :) Happy car-hunting....read morehide
