If you like to race get a mercedes or a civic si! Don't get a manual transmission civic dx, lx, or ex and think that you wont loose the transmission in about 80,000 miles or less (depending on the driver) Lol! I got this 2007 used civic ex coupe 2007 and I love it! But I was too foolish to mistreat it! Unaware of the problems up ahead becasue I thought I was driving a si. I am currently upgrading my ex to an si! It is more on my level. The ex, lx, dx, hibrid and so on will have you sitting back in your seat, not being able to lift your head/neck from the seat if you press the throttle to the floor! My point is! It has enough horse power pick up and still gets better gas mileage than most, Even when 5/10 years has gone by it is still in the tops for fuel ecconomy! FORGET WHAT THE OTHER CLAIM! MOST IMPORTANTLY, Always view the vehicles crash rating! If the vehicle doesn't get a five star all around, then I wouldn't but it! Although, the 07 civic gets a 4/5 star and I had a serious accident at 80mph and the car lives on without any serious problems! BUY A HONDA!...read morehide

I've has this car since March 2011 (it is now now August 2011). Since April, there are sporadic times when my car won't start. In June, when the weather became warmer, it started to hesitate. Now it is August and it is hesitating every single time I put it on the road. Its worse on the interstate. I've taken it to the dealership multiple times to only receive a dead-end, similar answer to my own which is "I don't know!" Wasn't expecting the softest seats, but I also wasn't expecting to sit on the hardest seats. The rear view, when backing up, is difficult, but with effort, it can safely be achieved. I was expecting much more since it is a Honda. I encourage any and everyone to invest in the newer models; maybe great changes were implemented for the Civics....read morehide

- Cons
- placement of emergency brake lever, can't see the front of the car when parking
Purchased As New
I just bought my 2011 Civic Coupe and I love it! It rides great, is extremely quiet, gets good mileage, and is fun to drive. I'm 6'1" and I don't have any problem with the interior room. The only drawbacks are the placement of the emergency brake lever, which my knee rubs against sometimes, and the fact that you can't see the front end when trying to park....read morehide

I went from a big truck to a Civic. I love it!! I question whether the other 4 reviewers are for real... Fun car to drive and I got super low financing through Honda. Saving much money on fuel. No complaints here and I did my home work.

never should have put hard earned dollar into 2010 new Civic..spent way too much for way too little. MPG is biggest gripe..does not measure up..lucky to get 24 mph ..though I am careful driver..no great speeder..Honda is failing..it's in the beginning to mid stages of being usurped by ..maybe Ford..cannot believe I am saying that!...read morehide

- Pros
- Fuel Economy, Low maintenance
- Cons
- Styling, could use more interior features
Purchased As New
Not really sure what a lot of these reviewers are talking about. No incentives? Right now there is 1000 in dealer cash and 0.9% financing for 5 years. Sure a Ford Fiesta might offer more features with their packages, but good luck getting in the back seat and good luck with the resale value. Someone else commented about low resale value which simply is not true. Honda has one of the highest resale values in the industry. Do your homework before you buy any car. The civic depreciates around 10-11% per year which I think is very good. Another thing is the build quality of the civic versus some of the stuff out there. There is no comparison. High quality plastics and materials throughout. I am going to purchase another one for my wife....read morehide

Honda Civic & Accord are Overrated & Overpriced. Their reliability is so so, their body style is strange, their body paint is fading eventhough i kept them in shade all the time & kept them in a Mint condition. I bought new 2004 Civic & sold it two years later. I bought new 2006 Accord & i try for months to sell it but no takers. NEVER HONDA AGAIN....read morehide

- Pros
- Roomy, quiet, economical
- Cons
- Not as peppy as my old 94 del Sol Si with the 5 speed manual tranny
Purchased As New
I replaced my 1994 del Sol Si with a 2011 EX Coupe. I had after market leather interior installed, added a leather wrapped steering wheel and a trunk liner. I could not be more pleased with my purchase. The 2011 Civic EX is roomy, responsive, economical and a joy to drive. Mileage is averaging about 30 mpg with a mix of city and highway driving (mostly city). Highly recommended....read morehide
