I traded my 2005 audi a6 for the 2012 civic coupe lx and I COULDNT be happier. The audi was getting up in miles and I really need something more dependable that doesn't cost an arm and leg for work. I was expecting to be more disappointed bonestly. Afterall I'm losing leather, heated seats, etc etc. But it was 9 degrees here yesterday and I have to say its not a big loss. The fact that I'm saving $100 in gas, getting over 50 miles to the gallon most of the time, AND I can connect by iphone via usb and control it from the radio way more than makes up for what I'm losing. I never liked the look of the older boxier looking Civic models, then this one came out and it is so sleek and sporty and sharp. I get compliments on it all the time. I liked it so much, I bought the same one (in a different color) for my son, who loves it just as much as I do.

The only negative for me is the seating for the drivers side. I have a bad back, so if I drive longer than a half an hour or so, my back starts to hurt. I wish it had better lumbar support - the kind you can adjust. But, my son says it is super comfortable for him. I must admit, I had sat in many, many other cars before I sat in this one, and the first thing I said was how comfortable the seat was on my back.

My suggestion is to do what I did. Test drive many other cars first, because as soon as you drive this one, you will be done shopping :)...read morehide

I bought this car in April of '12 because of the killer incentives and wanted a reliable car that will last me twenty years. Fortunately, everyone,including Honda freaked out over the review from CR about the interior materials and the steering. I think the interior is fine. The hard plastic doesn't bother me as I don't rest my head on the dashboard while I'm driving plus it's easy to clean. I was never a fan of the two-tiered digital speedo layout but after driving it awhile(7,000 miles) one realizes that the layout is perfect for finding what you need quickly. It is a damn good idea. Initially, I found the road noise to be a bit high but after a road trip from Chicago to Tampa and back most of that road noise disappeared. I'm certain when I wear these(Continental) tires out and get a better tire it should all but disappear. I have a friend who owns an Audi who I suspect may turn his nose up at a practical car even noted that this is a "nice riding car". I think the steering is fine also. Every time I turn the steering wheel right, the car turns right,etc.So, bottom line is if you want a good deal on a fine compact car that gets great mileage without trying ,the Civic is still for you....read morehide

It comes with small 15" tires. Before LX version was produced with 16" tires. Also the tires are one of the cheapest in the market. I was disappointed.

I bought this civic because i expected that Honda is good car company when it comes to quality car, not anymore!!!! The car is loud on the road, the plastic is falling apart, its crap, not good anymore on gas, The style is boring, I want to trade in or return it to the dealership. Its a mistake to buy this car. I absolutely love my new civic. I have driven Honda vehicles for years, and I will probably always choose them in the future. This is the first car I purchased new, and I was so impressed with the affordable price. Right now, I'm averaging 37.1 mpg, and I drive about 50 miles to and from work every day. It's sporty, comfortable, and most importantly to me, fuel efficient. Honda has never let me down when it comes to reliability as well. Cons: Interior Paneling is way cheaper than previous civics, Back seating area is way too low (window to seats) and uncomfortable, suspension is rough my 95 civic has better suspension.

Its one of the smallest coupes i've owned, the restyling that they have done is awesome makes it look similar to the accord coupe. the interior im not to pleased about the cheap plastic panels... and the two tier speed and rpm display is simply ugly... the only thing i enjoyed about the interior is probally the steering wheel with alot of steering wheel controls.... the media center console is very unique in the way that you can customize every feature on your car from how long the lights stay on to which door unlocks when you turn off your car, and this console comes standard on all models of the civic... overall beautiful looking car with sub par interior...read morehide
