- Good fuel economy
This is a very good fuel economy car. It is somewhat hard to get and rare since it's the GX model. Somewhat underpower but you get what you paid for. Should test drive one yourself.

- almost zero smog emissions. great fuel economy. ultra cheap fuel in Utah (64 cents/gallon)
- few places to fill (get a home compressor). low range on one tank
Decision to buy this car should be based on where you live. There is limited availability of natural gas for vehicles (unless you want to invest in a home compressor). And the price varies greatly nationally. I live in Utah and natural gas is currently 64 cents per gallon - So I can drive about 54 miles on one dollar! this is obviously worth the inconvenience of range.
This Civic has about the same power as gas powered Civic and the same ride and reliability....read morehide

- Perfect commuter car. Comfortable ride, great mileage, cheap and clean AMERICAN fuel
- Limited driving range (~220 miles). Antenna in rear window = poor radio reception if tinted.
I live in the SF Bay Area, and commute 100 miles per day, roundtrip.
This car delivers a very smooth, quiet and comfortable ride.
Super clean emissions = a great "green" choice;
I consistently average 37+ mpg CNG (saves me $1000 per year);
I drive in the carpool (HOV) lane by myself (saves me on average 15-30 minutes per day commute, on really bad days even more);
Free bridge tolls during commute hours (at $4, this saves me another $1000 per year);
Not having to depend on OPEC for fuel = priceless!
If you live in an area where CNG is readily available (CA, NY, Utah, AZ, etc.), you would be foolish not to consider this car....read morehide

- good fuel, not effected by the increase in gas prices.
- nothing yet!
love the car..went from having a range rover and spending over $100.00 a fill up every couple days to spending about $11.00 dollars to fill up once a week. A breakdown of useage driving from LA to Santa Barbara a couple times a week-for a 30 day useage of the car about $3.45 dollars a day....incredible!...read morehide

- How about a gallon of gas for less than $1.80 in LA? Methane Gas. A full tank costs less than $12!
- Range less than 300 miles, Limited trunk space because of Gas Tank, Light on acceleration
Bought it because I was feeling very dirty driving my Ford F150, what a change! Now I drive the cleanest internal combustion automobile in the world and feel...CLEAN. Seriously, this is the perfect commuter car. I get car pool lane access, will never have to pay for a smog check, and use a gas that can be collected from rotting garbage (shades of "Back to the Future"). The only issues are:
Limited Range, the gas tank supposedly holds 8 gallons, using quick fills (I opted to not buy the home compressor because I put too many miles on the car) the most I have been able to put in the tank is 6.4 gallons, so at around 35-40mpg I fill up (2 minutes to fill a near empty tank) around 250 miles. You don't want to run out of gas in these cars.
Limited trunk space, the methane gas tank is rather large and sits behind the rear seat taking up nearly all the trunk in a Civic.
But, even with the limitations would I recommend the GX... Highly, Highly recommend. I have convinced 2 other co-workers to buy GX's and they love them. One commutes nearly 200 miles every day on a rather flat stretch of freeway and gets nearly 45 mpg!
Methane Gas (Natural Gas) prices vary greatly, currently in Utah it is 65 cents/gallon, in Riverside CA $1.40, at LAX $2.30.
It is too bad that Honda does not push these cars more, Methane powers a large portion of cars outside the USA, once again we are behind the curve....read morehide
