Why are Americans not driving more NGVs?

- Some range anxiety based on 200-250 miles per "tank" full of CNG

I also drive a Prius and found the Civic GX superior in terms of emissions, pickup, and also mileage. My daily work commute is 80 miles on city and highway streets with traffic, and I have been averaging 35-40 miles per gasoline gallon equivalent (GGE) of CNG. (A colleague at work who drives an older model GX also has the same average mileage: 35-40.) Yesterday, I paid $2.04 per GGE of CNG, compared to $3.41 a gallon of gasoline for my Prius. Finally, my GX's white carpool sticker does not expire untila 2014, while my Prius' yellow carpool sticker expires this July....read morehide
