- Great MPG on highway, modern interior and controls, smooth ride
- Lower than expected city MPG, slightly uncomfortable seats, no fold-down
We've been very happy w/our 2006 Civic Hybrid so far. Mileage on the highway is 50+ as advertised, especially in cruise, although city mileage is usually just above 30 for us (we live in a very hilly area). I expect that to improve with time, as we learn the car better. The interior and interface are modern and "fancy" without being too much, and my only main criticisms are (1) I found the unusual forward-leaning headrest to be really uncomfortable, and had to put a pillow under my back to get my head forward, and (2) it's really frustrating that the seats don't fold down and there's no pass-through. I know it's a hard problem w/the batteries, but for this reason alone we wouldn't have this as our only car.
Otherwise we're very happy with this car, and very glad we didn't spend $5000 more on a Prius!
