- Great fuel economy. First weekend with the car, took it on a 500 mile trip. Averaged 47 with A/C.
- None, I bought it for fuel economy. Less space and some road noise are acceptable compromises.
We are a family of five (kids ages 11, 9, and 4. We downsized from a minivan to more than double our gas mileage. Space is adequate and with gas over $4, less space is an acceptable sacrifice. Just enough bells and whistles on the car to make you feel appreciated. When the kids start arguing in the back, I pull over to the side of the road, let the auto stop engage (meaning I am burning 0 gas), let the kids cool down, look at the m.p.g for the trip and smile. This car will save us nearly $2500 a year in gas (at $4). Plus it rewards good driving habits with increased gas mileage. I feel like Pavlov's dog......read morehide

- fun to drive. very good fuel economy. milage over a 5000 mile run using a calculator ave 47.3 mpg.
- head lights on low beam not very good.
i live in a warm humid climate and the a/c performs very good. (engine shuts down when u stop but creature comforts are maintained). on mpg, 50% of my drving is 2 lane, 30% interstate, and 20% city. the 47.3 mpg (by calculator) was everyday driving (flat terane).
good value for the money. would buy again. bought in jan 2008 new. have put 11000 on it. no problems getting on interstates or driving in mountains....read morehide

- Stylish, but not flashy. A great investment for the long-term.
- There were a couple of recalls on it, but Honda fixed those for free. No other problems.
I absolutely love it. I originally planned to get a cheaper car for my husband, but I'm considering getting a second Civic Hybrid for him! I drive with fuel efficiency in mind, but nothing crazy - I still use the A/C and radio - and I get 40 MPG average.

- Great fuel economy; Comfort; Smooth Ride;
- Weak horn! haha!
Love this investment! Helping the earth. First full tank went 510 miles! Owned a 03 2dr civic previously. Usually had to fill up around 310 Miles. I'm usually filling up around 450 miles on 08 Hybrid. I commute 90 miles for work, and have racked up 3050 miles in 1 month and 3 days since owning car! Slight road noise, but music covers that up. Wish electric/battery would be used strictly until 30 mph to like Prius, but I guess thats why Honda Hybrid gets better mileage on freeway. Word to the wise, to get maximum fuel efficiency must learn to drive smoothly. I've learned to enjoy driving, rather always be in a rush (though sometimes this takes away the thrill of driving haha!)...read morehide

- Saves Big $ on Gas, Smooth Ride, Nice Interior
- Small Trunk, No Fold Down Seats, Weak Stereo, No Sunroof
I purchased my Hybrid a month ago and grabbed it right away after finding out the dealership just had it delivered off the truck the night before. It wasn't even added to their stock yet. The only thing I wanted more than anything on my new car was a sunroof, which you can't get on the Civic Hybrid. But I test drove the Hybrid and a 2008 Accord. My heart was set on the Accord, but after going through the pros and cons I decided to go with the Civic Hybrid. You can't beat going to fill up the gas tank without breaking the bank. I like the interior color combo, the standard power features, of course the mpg you get, and the look of the rear body. I'm not happy that I can't have a sunroof, the stereo system is weak, small trunk, and no fold down seats. But I guess if you want to save money then you have to compromise somewhere. Overall I am happy with my decision and I know in the long run that buying a Honda Civic Hybrid is going to keep more money in my pocket and hold up its value....read morehide

- GREAT GAS ECONOMY, GOOD LOOKS, RIDES WELL, HANDLES WELL
- THEY SHOULD INCLUDE BLUETOOTH ON THE NAVI
I have had this car for about 2 weeks now and couldn't be happier. The gas economy is absolutely great! It rides well and handles very well. There is power when you need it and it cruises well. I got the dark color with matching interior and I think I picked the right combo. I know people have posted that it rides rough and doesn't handle well but I haven't found that yet. I guess they should have bought a MB or BMW and given up the gas economy. The dash is very well placed and everything is within reach. I like the controls on the steering wheel for the safety factor, no searching or fumbling around for vol control or ? The dash illumination is very stylish and bright, even though you can turn down the brightness level. The seats are very comfortable and on some posts people stated they were terrible. I disagree. The Navi system is great and fun to play with. It comes with a 3 month free sub to XM radio and is very versatile. I have a sub with XM already so I will extend it past the 3 months. It has a James Bond type face that folds down for the CD player and a PC card slot. I actually hooked up a Walkman cassette player through the MP3 port to play my Books on Tape, it worked great! The gas economy is phenomonal! I drive great distances to go to work, 450 miles one way, and avg 44mpg! It has a guage in the upper left hand corner of the dash to show you fuel economy when you accelerate and when you are going downhill or cruising on the flat. This really keeps me around the speed limit, no tickets. I HIGHLY recommend this car if fuel economy is a must especially if you drive long distances. I looked at the Prius but I just don't like the look....read morehide

- 60 MPG on Highway, Great look, Quality, Tax rebate!
- Trunk too small, no split folding seat
I had my Civic Hybrid for exactly 1 year now. I had zero problem with the car and was really happy with my choice. The milage got alot better when I change the tire pressure from 35 to 44. Before it was about 46MPG with 60% highway driving. Now it is over 50MPG. The only complaint I have is the trunk space. I can't even fit a push mower into the trunk.
If you want a car with great efficiency on the highway this one is it. The Civic is better on the highway then the Prius by quite a bit. I am routinely averaging close to 60MPG. If you are looking for a hybrid this baby is it....read morehide

- What else but fuel aconomy
- Road Noise
Purchased the Civic from Desert Honda in Las Vegas, Nevada for $1,000.00 less than the window sticker, this savings is gas for more than a year, drove from Vegas to Seattle 1150 miles and avarged more than 43 mpg, $102.40 for gas the whole trip. I am expecting to get even better milage after the break-in period....read morehide

- Great Fuel Economy, Aux adapter for mp3 player, Dashboard and Controls
- None so far...
I have had my 08' Civic Hybrid (Silver w/ Blue Interior) for 12 days now. I just filled up for the first time and got 495 miles on my first tank of gas. This was on 11.53 gallons of gas, tank holds 12.3 gallons. If I had driven it to completely empty probably over 520, not sure. Wife wouldn't let me try!
On my first tank I have averaged about 42.5 MPG with 40% city driving and 60% highway. Very pleased with results so far. The auto-stop feature took some getting use to, but I don't even notice it anymore. Windshield wipers are different than what I am use to, but they work great!
I will say that the biggest thing (for the sake of fuel economy) is that I have changed the way that I drive. It is much more relaxed and conservative. I could shorten my commute to work by driving 65-70 as opposed to 55 mph, but then who is really in that much of a hurry to get to work....read morehide

- great fuel economy, great engineering.
- uncomfortable driver seat.
I loved my 1986 peugeot 505 GL wagon, I still love my 1998 Chevy Suburban. I have owned 3 hondas (1 accord sedan, 1 accord wagon, and now my civic hybrid). I do not love Hondas. They are not a special car. They just work well, and they are very functional, requiring very little maintenance. They are practical, not whimsical, and in these days of $4.00 gas, I need practical over whimsical, or status symbol.
Firstly, great fuel economy. After 1,000 miles, I don...read morehide
