Purchased As New
Last night I had my last straw in owning our Honda Civic Hybrid. I became too tolerent of the Honda brass repeating that my driving habits were responsible for a 20% reduction in fuel economy - from 42 MPG to 33 MPG - since the program updates. I took it back to the dealer and had the saleperson drive the car around and verify my compliants. His test drive confirmed a 33.1 MPG. He noted that the handling was especially poor, a factor I had always had problems with wet pavement even with new tires at 40k miles in which I noted a slight improvement moving to BF Goodrich Advantage TAs from the originial Dunlops. In addition to the falacy of great fuel economy, the electric motors failed on the power window mechanisms on multiple occasions which now is not covered under warranty. By far and away, the worst vehicle I have owned and purchased. Performance, reliability, and warranty on the product is depreciable worse than the used Eagle Summits I owned in the 90s.
