- great on gas (I've had 40mpg highway), honda reliability, good sound system, nice handling
- arm rests need more padding, seat is a bit uncomfortable, slight buzz in passenger A post
Bought this car for 17,500. The special edition package is nice. I really love that the receiver has an 'audio in' jack for my mp3 player. The six speakers sound good, but could put out more sound especially when driving with all the windows down. The leather steering wheel also has a nice feel to it. When gas is $3/gallon the fuel economy comes in real handy. The acceleration is good except when trying to pass at around 70mph, which is to be expected with such a small engine. The air conditioner seems like it could put out colder air than what it does, but it gets the job done. The special edition rims look nice, but are a pain to clean due to all the design. My elbows tend to get sore when resting them on both of the arm rests while driving on trips over an hour. Very low maintainence vehicle with oil changes scheduled every 5 or 10k miles, i forget. Should maintain a high resale value that is true to honda's nature. It's nice to buy a top trim level car for under $18K. Very happy with this purchase despite some of my negative comments....read morehide

- Excellent Fuel economy
- Outdoor noise, Terrible in the snow, cheap paint job
I have a 2002 Civic EX. I moved from the NY City area to Syracuse, NY where the average snow fall is around 15 feet per year. I have found that even with putting snow tires on the car and keeping sand bags in the trunk, the car is prone to sliding. This is a great car for warm weather climates, but it's not that great for snowy climates. Also, the road salt and car washes have done more damage to the paint job than any of my previous cars. This is (overall) a great vehicle for the money, but I don't think it was intended for snowy climates....read morehide

- fuel economy, comfort, safety,
- Horse power.
I purchased a 2005 honda civic special edition on Feb. 14, 2005.
So far I love the car. I drive a lot and it is realy good on gas.
The only big complaint I have is the way it acts when you accelerate. Like if I am at a red light and the light turns green and I go, the car will hesitate at first and then it makes a noise like I am trying to race people. I don't like that, but my little sister loves that noise (just to let you know it is not BAD, its just that I like things quiet). Also my other complaint is that the windows in the back do not go down all the way, but a lot of cars are doing that now for safety reasons.
There are a lot of things I like about the car. The height adjustment, the radio, moonroof, how fast the heater and AC works, trunk space, gas milage, seats, flat floor in back( No hump in floor), rims, spoiler, leather wraped steering wheel.
For you guys out there deciding what kinda car you want and you are doing research. I made a decision between either the corolla or civic. I chose the civic for a lot of reasons. First, almost everyone I know has a corolla. Corolla is a good car, but since I know so many people with one and has had the opportunity to drive around in one a lot (my boyfriends sister has a 2004 corolla), I know a lot about the car. But, my decision was still hard to make. Both cars are good on value, looks, performance, etc... And I have owned a 92 hoda accord, and I still own a 92 corolla. So, when it came down to it I decided on the civic because the value last longer, known for being an overall good car for many years. But, like I said both cars are good cars. When I did my research I noticed that a lot of people had problems choosing between the corolla and civic. So here is a summary of my OPINON.
PROS: good on gas, looks good, sits taller than the civic, diff styles to choose from, accelerates better than the civic
CONS: sometimes you will get a funky smell when you trun on the air or heat ( I have heard a lot of people complain about this, and experienced it myself when driving my boyfriends sisters corolla), another comlaint (which is silly but it is my complaint) is that a lot of people are getting corollas. I know a lot of people have civic's too but, it seems like the popularity of the corolla has recently increased so you have a lot of corollas (newer ones around). EX. I was at the red light once and I promise I seen like seven corollas drive by.
PROS: good on gas, looks, diff. types to choose from (ex. coupe, sedan), flat floor in backseat, holding value, hondas long history for being a good car, all the safety features (that come standard, you have to add on a lot of things to the corolla that come standard in the civic), a lot more
CONS: acceleration is kinda noisy, sits lower than corolla, back windows do not go all the way down( but that is most cars including the corolla). Hope that this will help in your decision. But just know that both cars are good cars and you can not go wrong with either one. Make your decision on your opion of the cars after you test drive both, and the price that you are willing to pay. Good luck. : )...read morehide

- Acceleration, GAS mileage, handling, trunk capacity
- Wind noise at higher speed
This is the best sedan I have ever owned, period. It fits a small familly's needs, while providing a sensational driving experience. The trunk store loads for such a small car, and the ride is wonderfull. I recomend the 6 CD changer and higher trims.

- Quiet engine
- Wish comes with GPS
We like this car so much. If you compare with Prius (Hybrid), this car has more power than the Hybrid. I think it has a good gas mileage. We loved it because there is no more radio antenna, now it's integrated with the rear windshield. It's very smooth and quiet.
