- Great ride and handling. Road noise is better than previous Civics. Smarts of the interior light.
- Gas mileage not as stated. Cheap plastic interior scratches easily. Computer controls everthing...
I wish my 95' Civic DX, with over 200K+ miles, wasn't totaled by an Freightliner 18 wheeler that ran a red light.
The people that are saying the 06' Civics are getting good gas milage are only going by what the EPA sticker says or can't do math. I save all my receipts and calculate the gas milage on my 06' Civic, with 20K miles on it so far, averaging only 28mpg 70%hwy/30%city (the same route I drove to work with my 95' Civic) and 32mpg 100% hwy, not the stated 30-40mpg. My 95' Civic got 38mpg 70%hwy/30%city (same route driving with 06' Civic) and 40-45mpg hwy from new to 200K+ trouble free miles on it.
Really Honda, I think you should use the same technology from trouble free 95' Civic's engine and build the car from there.
People are looking for good gas mileage / easy maintencance in smaller cars. What happened to the higher mpg cars of the past and the more accurate EPA ratings? I could explain this but no room...
For the EPA to decieve the public on mpg is way wrong. I think the EPA, Honda dealership, and engineers / Corporation are keeping a secret... May be gov't related...
I wouldn't recommend the new Honda Civic. Maybe Hyundai will take over...
