- Fuel economy in the summer and on Interstate.
- Uncmfortable. Faulty "check gas cap" alarm, doors relock after unlocked after 20-30 sec.
Purchased As New
I bought a Honda because I had a Honda motorcycle years ago that was extremely reliable. I had heard the cars have the same reputation.
Positives - This vehicle is generally "OK", but no more than that. The fuel mileage varies greatly between summer and winter. I live in a rural area, with a hilly commute and get about 36mpg in the summer, 30-32 in the winter. On the occasion that I am on the interstate in the summer I get between 48-52 mpg.
Negatives - The car is very uncomfortable, don't take it on long trips. The "check gas cap" alarm comes on arbitrarily. If not addressed in two or three times it causes the check engine light to come on, which means a trip to the dealer. The dealer has tried to fix the "check gas cap" alarm several times to no avail. They have had it for several hours on several occasions, and once replaced the gas cap. The warning came back in less than 100 miles. I now stop by a local mechanic that resets the warning for me at no charge.
- The next item that I "HATE" is the fact that when you use the remote to unlock the car and don't open a door within 30 seconds, it relocks itself. It annoys me most when I have my hands full of stuff, lock the car and it relocks before I can get a free hand to unlock it.
- Between the gas cap thing and the relock, those are enough to stop me from purchasing another Honda ever.
