i own a 2007 civic and thought this information might be useful for anyone considering a honda...this car has been through half dozen recalls...my air conditioning no longer works due to a blown compressor after four years of use...my tires had to be replaced after two years...needed a new battery after two years...and no one at honda responds...read morehide

Just because some of their cars are put together in the states doesn't mean jack shit. When Honda sells one of their cars, their money goes to Japan. I was very excited when I purchased my new Honda Civic. I thought I was getting a great deal! But at less than 7 months after purchasing this new vehicle, my ac went out. I took it to the Leta Honda dealership to have it checked. They told me that I had a hole in my compressor and it was not covered under their warranty! $800 to fix this compressor! The compressor is located right at the front of the vehicle with no protection from road debris/rocks. I can get it fixed but there is nothing to stop it from happening again! If I install a protective screen for the condensor, my warranty will be voided! Unless you want repeated expensive repairs on a new car, go ahead and get it. Overall I am very pleased with my new car. Honda has excellent resale value over Ford or Hyundai. Good investment!2012 Civic no DX-VP option so you have to pay for all the extra features. Good buy and nice ride. Get one.

I had a civic before it was great but honda has loss its edge. I just bought this car and I am going to get rid of it. My fault in thinking too much of Honda. Ford,hyundai I think are better choose. They have come a long way. Look around before you buy!

purchased V.P.civic 2004 new,very dependable,miner defects:gas release flap needed replacing 2 yrs.age.No cost to me,also my driver side seat belt defective,never worked properly,i use fake one to avoid traffice ticket.Engine great,milage great am hoping to keep it for next five to ten years!

BUY them. Anyone who really has driven Hondas know they are they the cream of the auto line. I own 3 and my children all have Hondas too. I have NEVER had one breakdown, have transmission problems, brake issues etc. We did have some window issues with the Element. I plan to buy a CNG Civic next month. Honda does need to make their hybrid BI FUEL/CNG--that would be great. I doubt anyone who writes negative about the Honda. I have owned 10 of them....read morehide
