- fuel economy, cute little ride
- the "cup holders" in the rear are not large enough, cheap looking interior
Purchased As New
I have had this little car since December 2011. I bought it to replace a 1998 Honda Accord LX. It doesn't have quite the power of the old Accord, but gets better mpg. Overall I really like the car. The biggest downside I have is that what they call cup holders in the back doors aren't big enough to put any drink that I have tried to put in it. You can put a bottle in it..barely but it sits crooked because there just isn't enough room. I have averaged 32-36 mph around locally and I live in the mountains with lots of hills, haven't taken it on a road trip yet to test out the econ button. The front headrests could be a little smaller so that it doesn't push your head forward, but this seems to be the new thing in all makes that I have ridden in. The interior carpet and seats is kind of cheap looking...actually not real carpet at all but more felt-like. Another thing that I think maybe the EX model civic has that I miss in the LX is the flip down console/armrest/cup holder in the back seat with the pass through. My old Accord had this and I loved that feature...especially with a kid in the back seat and a trip through the drive thru...nice to have a place for his drink that he can reach instead of having to reach down to the bottom of the door in a space that is too small for the cup.
