I have own my car for 6 months now. I simply love it. Once your in it, its so comfortable. It is so easy to drive long distances. I've owned a Chevy Aveo (it was a piece of ____) before. I have had this car for just over a year. This is my first Honda car. It is a great car. It is not a Mustang or a Rolls, it is an economy car. Other reviews should not get them confused. As an economy car, it excels. As long as it is moving, I get upper 40's MPG. I average 35MPG this past year in real traffic . With my commute, I was either going to pay the gas companies or Honda, so I bought the Honda HF. Now I let the money I save on gas help pay for the car. Sure, there could be a few little improvements here and there, but overall it does very well and I am very happy with my purchase....read morehide

Well, its a Honda! I was going to get the Corolla but they don't want to deal(and cost more) + the Civic has a 5 speed auto and gets up to 39 mpg. The carpet is cheap but who cares! I got this car to get MPG's, resale value, reliability and low maintenance. It has all of that! I love the way it looks too..........read morehide

Got this car just over 2 months ago, put 6,000 miles on it since. LOVE this car!! Upgraded from an '03 Civic Hybrid, and the difference in power and comfort is AMAZING!

Only trouble I have with this car is that in the '12 model year they didn't have a lot of standard options for the LX model. I desperately wanted Bluetooth and Navigation in the car, but those were both only available on the EX. Honda has fixed this in the '13 model year....read morehide

When I started car searching, I was driving a Dodge Caliber with a little over 40k on it, and had a few issues with the car not wanting to start up, which caused me to think, I need to get a new car, and a better one. I had never purchased a brand new car before, so this was a new experience for me. I've been driving my 2012 Honda Civic Sedan regularly for a little over 1.5 years. The cosmetic additions to my particular vehicle that were not of my choosing but added to the car before I purchased it are as follows: sun roof, a sun roof visor, mud guards. The things I enjoy about the car are: the stereo system and USB connection for iPod (because I do not enjoy listening to the radio most of the time) and various controls to access the iPod, including controls on the steering wheel. The dash display is split up into various "layers", if you will, and there is a window that displays the contents of the iPod, i.e. the song playing at the moment and album cover. There is also a CD player. The car is very sleek in appearance and the paint is sparkly and sometimes appears to be purply pink fading into blue in the sun. The car turns on when I turn the key in the ignition. The gripes I have are: the car does not accelerate very easily and often I have to punch it to get it going, or move over to the slow lane until I can accelerate and then get back over. When using cruise control, the car will suddenly lurch forward violently after coming up over any size hill, and lurch up to 4 RPM all while making a sound that makes me think the engine is going to catapult through the hood of the car. Very annoying. The windows and doors do not keep sound out at all, I can hear wind for the 12 hour drives I make. The tires went bad at 18k miles and had to be replaced, and not under warranty either, even though I always serviced my vehicle regularly and on time. One of the tire sensors was faulty and had to be replaced, which was under warranty. I'm thankful that the car starts up every time I get in it, and that it gets me places, like work and home. But if I was able to choose again, I would probably buy a civic, but a sport edition with a faster acceleration ability. I think I was caught up in the look of it, because it is very sleek looking. The air filter apparently does not work well because as I'm driving I can smell even a hint of diesel from the trucks around, even if the a/c or heat is off. When the air is off, air still comes out, even when the vents are closed. The heat does not heat up very fast. You can sync your phone with this car, but I don't because the sound of a phone ringing through speakers almost caused me to make and accident in a Ford Focus 2008 once before. We got 47mpg on this vehicle, going 55mph for a 30 mile trip. That measured up to our 2008 Honda Civic DX, which we loved and passed down to our son. There is absolutely no complaint with the road noise or vibration, as many claim. We love the classy interior, the comfort, the layout of the windows, the roominess. After 2 months, this car is exceeding our expectations! We got 43 MPG in ECON mode on the way home from the dealer! No worse than 33.5 in city driving. My wife leaves the ECON button on all the time and has no trouble with performance commuting to work and back. We can't wait to take it on a long trip. The fit and finish is typical Honda excellence. Seats are comfortable and driving position is good, even for me at 6' tall. We highly recommend the navigation system - works great and easy to use. Sound system is quite good, too. The suspension can be a little "choppy" but overall the ride is confortable and VERY quiet. All in all a very solid car. This is my first Honda and I'm very impressed with the milage. Car has 34000 miles and still runs great. Had to replace front brakes at 30000 miles. Car could use more noise insulation!
