For the money it is a great car, but a BMW M3 it ain't. Under very forceful driving there is a lot of undampered weight transfer in the front end when cornering. The car has good brakes. If you lose control it is easy to get back on line. The gear ratios are just about right for keeping it in the power range. There isn't any of the typical front drive torque steer - the locked differential has cured it. If anything the car slightly oversteers. When the rear end comes out in a slide it is easy to regain control. The seats are a little too narrow for me, but I really need to go on a diet, anyway. Very nice car to make good over the road time with. Very good fit and finish. The buttons for windows, mirrors, and on the steering wheel are too small for my hands. The car doesn't pop out of third gear if you get it all the way in to begin with - it seems to have two notches going in - one that's half way in and the other that's all the way - just push it until it stops. This car is not a finesse car, it needs a lot of force and speed to find the limits and get familiar with them so you can really enjoy its potential. However, it does have very definite limits.
