- Great sound system, handles well, great value for the money
- Premium fuel, 3rd gear flaws, cheap plastic interior, lots of blind spots.
I have had this car for a few months now and was very pleased when I first bought it. It had a decent amount of power but it only became available at the top end of the RPM band. The handling is great for a front wheel drive car and the stiffened suspension is great around corners but makes a daily commute a bit bumpy. Do not buy this car if you are looking for a nice soft ride, it is definitely not made for a conservative driver. The sound system is above par with 350 watts of power that will make you want to crank your tunes all the time and the staring mounted controls are a plus although the dashboard mounted controls are within reach.
Over the past few months as the novelty wore off I noticed that the interior is a bit cheaply made with plastics that scuff easily especially around lower sections of the door and the front passenger side of the dash. The fabric interior is a magnet for dirt and dust and you will need to keep vaccum handy. The snub nose of the car makes parking a little bit tricky at first as you can't see the front end of making you park further back than necessary; this coupled with the large blind spots make for an interesting time parking at local malls.
One major concern I had was 3rd gear which grinded after a couple of weeks of driving and as the temperature dropped to below freezing it would pop out of gear. I took it into the dealership and they replaced it stating that they were recently made aware of this issue through a Honda bulletin. Lately however ther seems to be a bit of rattle coming from the front end and with the front defogger on the engine seems to be rough while at lights with the a/c on. I spoke to honda and they said that this is normal.
Overall the car is fun to drive and hopefully it won't be plagued by any more rattles and tranny problems. For the price it is a good value if you don't mind a sporty suspension and enjoy shifting gears... be prepared to race anyone with other four bangers as they all want to know what this car can do (to get you tires to squeak in 1st, 2nd and 3rd while mid way through the RPM band hit the clutch and floor the accelerator at 4000 RPMs and when it reaches 6000 let off the clutch this forces the engine into the VTEC range while at low speed and put all 197 horses into play) ....read morehide

- great fuel economy, very good acceleration
- 3rd gear not so good, 1st and 2nd very good an 3rd need to be better
Great fuel economy, modified the air filter and intake with a K&N filter and the fuel economy grew in 35 miles for the whole tank.
1st and 2nd gear great acceleration, when going into 3rd gear not so good, 3rd gear should be better
Great audio system

- Fun ride, sips gas, good room, bullet-proof
- Not the absolute best looking car
I have driven almost every car and have owned (personally) a WRX, STI and a Sky Redline in the last 2 years. Though all had better acceleration, the rest of the driving is won by the Si. Somehow people in America believe that a car is defined by how fast they go in a straight line. However, the Si takes everything else and brings back the fun in driving to the places most normal people go.
Great gas mileage, clean lines, great value. Yes, I understand it will never be a sports car, but having owned several - it is fun to actually DRIVE a car and not ave to adjust to the car each time you get in. There is a lot to be said about simplicity, and the Si adds some hp and drivability to sweeten the pot. Very satisfied!...read morehide

- Sporty modern design, i-VTEC Acceleration, Decent MPG, Rare on the Road
- 3rd gear notchy, some squeaks, sun visor broken
I've owned my 2007 GG Civic Si for 1.5 years and 13,500 Miles.
Great car. Period. For the price you can not go wrong. Best car in its class. Nothing compares. VTEC is a blast. This car looks good, is sporty, has back seats, is inexpensive, gets better than avg. MPG, is very quick and handles like its on rails. As expected with a sports suspension the ride is harsh and stiff. Radio sounds great, MP3 aux jack is awesome, easily have Sirius and my iPod plugged in. basically you get a fully loaded 197HP sporty car for less than 22K. Not to mention the build quality is excellent(some cheap plastic inside) and Honda's reputation is 2nd to none. Reliability and resale are top of the pack. I love that this car is not available in automatic. You won...read morehide
