First impressions; you can defiantly feel the torque improvement with the motor, I drive 400 to 500 mile a week. I got annoying with always feeling under geared on the highway passing cars with the 07 si. With the torque in the new gen si, it doesn't have that feeling. You can shift a lot less. From the line it feels faster than the 07 si, is it faster than the 05 rsx type s, idk, maybe not. It be a good race. At highway speeds it feels to have a significantly faster pick up than both, a nice torque improvement! The 6-speed shifting is a major up grade, flawless! But the shifter looks a little video game arcade-ish for me. The ride is softer which I like; a little less sporty but much more comfortable over the bumps. Pulling up to 37 on highway, 28-30 mixed; feather footing, nice improvements, engine isn't even broken in yet. Interior has a cheaper feel to it. We will see how it holds up. E-brake is in a friendlier spot no more knee knock or rub. I like the tech upgrades; and split screen, and the v-tec gauge is actually quite handy. Good rear visibility. It's a joy to drive, but sometimes gets annoying with every douche trying to race you. Hope it gets to over a 100k with no probs like the others. And 'great' re-sale value is always a plus! Solid vehicle in every aspect. The only thing I don't like is the side mirror style, little gimmicky for me. And I don't see the interior material/set up as a improvement other than a little more room and better tech stuff. Other wise I'm stoked!...read morehide

I have a supercharged Cobra Mustang and this Civic gives me the same feeling when I drive it to work but with better gas mileage. I really emjoy driving this car.My little boy loves riding in the "SI". No it is not for everyone but it has style, handling,performance and gas mileage. What not to like? I drove it on a quick trip cross country (2000+ miles) and felt good when I got out of the car. I love the split dash guages. Great car!
