- fun to drive, good stereo
- brake handle should be on opposite side of shifter, mpg could be better
I was looking at Civics, the Prius, and Mazdas, but once I drove this car I was hooked. I've had it for 5 months now, and gas mileage is about 25 mpg in mixed driving. Those who complain about insufficient torque have been unwilling to let this car rev; it really has an alter-ego above around 6000 rpm. It is plenty of fun with more conservative driving as well (and better mpg)....read morehide

- speed, handling, performance; consistant 31MPG; looks; interior room
- tight suspension, so ride is a bit rough, but will handle any corner, curve
Without a doubt this is the best and most fun car I've owned; and it is a "screamer" -- I had it only four months and had been stopped three times; so buy a radar detector, because you'll need it. This car comes alive at 70+ MPH and it loves curvey roads! I enjoy commuting to work again, and I've been driving the same route for 20+ years. This is my second Honda and I continue to be pleased with Honda quality and service. Highly recommended. 10,000 total miles at time of this review....read morehide

- Nice handling, gas mileage, overall performance, options
- "vtech kick" requires a lot of rpm=low torque
I bought my 07 SI back in November. I have no complaints after 6,000 miles of us. The gas mileage is about what the car states. If I drive all city streets I get 24-25. With highway I get on average 27-28. The handling on the car is excellent. It really hugs the road when going around curves. I have driven it through many Michigan snow storms and below zero temperatures without any problems of starting or handling.
I find the seats very comfortable. Lint and hair does seem to stick out on the fabric, but easily cleans off. The interior is spacious. My three year old son has plenty of room in the back with his car seat. It took a little while to get use to the split dash with the mph over the steering wheel and rpm meter below. Now when I look at it, it just makes sense. You don't hardly have to look down to check on your speed. The premium cd player/radio is nice. I am not one of those people who crank the bass, but the sound quality is good.
My only complaint is the low torque, but I knew that going in. To get the Vtech to kick it, you need to get up to 6,000 rpm. Even when it does, you won't be blown away. I don't generally rip on the car that hard to get up to that kind of rpm. The overall pickup is good enough for my purposes. I don't have any grand dreams of racing a Corvette or Mustang. Not as if this car could stay with the big boys. But it holds its own with cars in the same class. I do enjoy the the noise you get from the exhaust when acclerating and slowing down.
I did a lot of research before getting this car. For the price, options, mpg, and performance you would be hard pressed to find a better car out there. The Honda name brand will also keep the resale value of the car higher as well. I have read a few other reviews that say you can't find this car without paying several thousand over MSRP. I didn't find that the case at all. Every dealership I talked to had it for MSRP and a couple lower than that with deposit (although those were the nonrefundable ones). I found a nice silver one and bought it the day it arrived. I haven't regretted that decision since....read morehide

- Honda reliability, fun to drive without being over the top.
- Price, cut $1000 off MSRP and it's a bargain.
I was 90% convinced I was buying a Mazda 3 until I drove the Si Sedan. For all of the standard safety features, reliability and decent gas mileage for how it performs, how could I not make it my first choice. Since I have a family, I need 4 doors but I also like to have fun when I drive. EVO's and STi's are too over-the-top and pricey.
I've compared this car to Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Keep it under 5000rpm and it's a mild mannered car that gets good gas mileage. But bury the throttle and let it scream past 6000rpm and the little monster comes alive. No it's not a dragster but it is a fun car for anyone that needs 4-door practicality but wants some excitement.
I've never been a fan of Honda, simply because of their bland looks but I've always respected thier quality and reliability. Now that Honda has made a vehicle that I think looks good and has a little performance without being crazy, I'm sold....read morehide

- i-Vtec, 197HP, Good looks and its four door sedan.
- Can't find any w/o mark up in California.
I had to paid $2000 over MSRP. I can't find any in California w/o mark up. But I did get $2000+ worth of stuff with the car. I love when the Vtec kicks in. VOOM you go. Everyone loved this car when its 2 door coupe now in 4 door sedan, who wouldn't love this car? Get yourself one if you can reserve one it worth every penny....read morehide
