2005 Honda Civic Si

- Easy on gas, handles nicely, easy to park, great interior room, nice ride on highway
- Wish it had a 6th speed, 4K revs at 80, but still fairly quiet.
Just bought this car after trading in my wife's RSX automatic. I wanted a manual transmission and a sporty ride that was easy on gas for commuting back and forth to work. The new Si in vivid blue looks nice, handles good, and is easier on gas than my other cars. I'm over 40, so not into the racer thing, just wanted a sporty car to commute. This one does all I want, and seems even more solid than the RSX with no rattles or squeeks. Performance for a 4 cylinder is good, not a ton of torque, but plenty respectable. There are other sporty economy cars out there for less, but I didn't like them as well as this one. Considered a Corolla S, Civic EX coupe, Mazda 3, and a Focus ZX3. All nice, but this one just seemed "right". I like the similar looks to a VW GTI, but the Civic has much better reliablity. I had 2 VW's prior this and both were troublesome, especially with the electronics and oxygen sensors. I would recommend the Civic Si to anyone looking for a sporty economy car.
