2006 Honda Civic Si
There are 8 user reviews for the 6-Spd MT w/ Nav and Performance Tires trim shown below
- looks very cool , is very quick and fast you can drive around most cars
- only comes in a six speed manual trans.
The car looks good and performes as good as it looks . It has the power to get you in and out of any kind of traffic . The six speed manual trans redlines at about 7800 rpms . As far as top speed I live in Los Angeles and too much traffic to really get the car to even come close to top end speed . The voice activated navigation system with GPS is just very handy especialy in L.A. when finding alternate route to get around those messy traffic jams ....read morehide

- Sharp Looking Pocket Rocket, definate Head-Turner
- TOO BUMPY of a Ride :(
Calle and visited several dealerships in a 150mile radius looking for a Honda Civic SI's and was about to settle for a Dodge Srt-4. While at Power Dodge Valencia the truck drove in with two of these little gems on the back. !st was pre-sold and I didn't hesitate to buy the second on the spot. I love this little screaming mimi. Ppl complain about low end torque (which I did notice at first) but after you break the tranny in (around 1200+ miles) you feel that 139lbs of foot torque even in the lower rpm band. Car is an absolute BLAST to drive if you can FIND one. The voice activated GPS is extremely helpful and the 7 speaker stereo is awesome to be stock. No fear in throwing this little road hugging jet-fighter into tight high speed turns. Already had 3 offers from people to buy the car off of me (NOT GOING TO HAPPEN lol).
See one, BUY it! You won't be dissapointed....read morehide

- GREAT PERFORMANCE AND OPTIONS FOR ABOUT 22K
- CALIFORNIA DEALERS ASKING WAY TOO MUCH, TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE CONSUMER
AND THIS MINITURE POCKET ROCKET CAR LISTS FOR ONLY 22K LOADED?
IDK ABOUT ANY1 ELSE BUT DEALERSHIPS IN CALIFORNIA ARE REALLY TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE LOW SUPPLY OF THE SI, AND ALMOST CONSIDERED BUYING AN RSX AT A BETTER PRICE HONDA DEALERS SHOULD GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER.

- Wonderful power above 5000 rpm, comfortable seats, decent fuel economy, and HANDLING!!
- Lack of low end torque, uphill climb, stubby tail, and availability
I've had this car for two and a half weeks and it brings a smile to my face every time I enter the garage. It's a blast to drive, especially on the weekends and the seats are well-bolstered and pretty comfortable (not to mention nice to look at). Moreover, the back seats are easy to get into.
The i-vtec engine is both a plus and a negative. It's a fuel efficient daily driver (~26 mpg combined) and is a powerful screamer when you floor it; however, when you're just running errands and don't feel like flooring it, the engine feels a bit weak and underpowered.
Finally, the handling is brilliant!! This car performs wonderfully around the corners and sticks to the ground like no other. BMW-esque handling and capability for 10 grand less.
Bottom line: this is a very slick car with all the anemities you could want--just go into the purchase knowing the benefits and trade-offs of the 4 cylinder vtec....read morehide

- Haven't seen yet, but maybe you (the buyer) can do better.
- Not available right now.
I'm in the process of purchasing the 06 Civic Si with NAV and XM Satellite Radio, but no performance tires. As it stands right now, I have locked into a price of $22,290.00. I believe this to be a fair price. The problem is that I now have to wait until the Dealer can get the vehicle to me. He is guess-timating early Jan. I also put a thousand down to keep the process flowing, even if he has to order the Si straight from the factory. I did look at the 06 civic EX, and I really liked the heads up display, even from the front passengers side. I checked out the Pilot's Nav system to get an idea of the system. Both my wife and I weren't as amazed as we thought we would be. My house was built in 98, and the NAV system couldn't recognize our street. Hopefully the 06 civic has the latest updates in street addresses. The EX was also comfortable and a great ride, so I can only assume that the Si will be more responsive and sporty. I will keep you posted on the purchasing process....read morehide
