- slow acceleration
Purchased- September 2006; Fuel consumption- not so good, about 6-7 km/L. We decided to buy a brand new Honda CRV because the Rav4 was just too expensive. We figured it would still be a better buy than the other brands in the market, in terms of price, performance and resale value. I had a Honda Civic in the past and was quite happy with its performance so I thought any Honda vehicle I buy will be just as good. I was appalled when after 5000+km, i heard some loud squeaking sounds. When I brought it to the Honda service center, they told me both shock absorbers need to be replaced. I was shocked! I live in the city so I don't do any out-of-town trips, no rough roads. Of course they replaced it (after a week) but it shouldn't even happen in the first place. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed and wished we never bought it.
