- Rides well. Nice interior
- Reliability poor, especially AC compressor and Trans
Purchased As New
Car rides well and is good on the highway. Mileage is so-so at 24-25 mpg. AWD hurts tire perfomance.
Trans starts to wear out around 85,000, so don't keep it long.
Known issues with AC compressors. $1,000+ repairs.

- Nice instrument panel, good mpg, spare tire inside
- Road noise, no power seat for driver
My wife and I love the new design and the way the CRV handles. The instrument panel is easy to read and nicely illuminated when the lights are on. The engine makes a buzzing sound when driving around town but is not noticeable at highway speeds. We get 21-22 mpg around town and 28-30 mpg on the highway. We added rear bumper sensors, an auto dimming rear view mirrow with compass, and window shades. We purchased a Garmin portable GPS which cost much less the built in navigation unit. Our local Honda dealer gives excellent service which also influenced our decision. We considered the Toyota RAV but did not like the spare tire mounted on the rear tailgate. The Hyundai Sante Fe is also an attractive vehicle but mpg is lower and we did not like the color choices....read morehide

- No spare tire within view
I normally research a car for months before acquisition and the CRV was no exception. Having purchased a Civic EX for my wife a month ago I knew I was making the right decision. I put this car way above the Toyota RAV4, irrespective of Consumer Reports' recommendations. For the money you cannot get anything better. Its performance is flawless and its driving takes me back to my days in Europe driving BMWs for a living....read morehide

- GOOD FUEL ECONOMY, COMFORTABLE RIDE, ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, HIGH SAFTETY RATINGS
- HAVEN'T FOUND ANY
THE GOVERNMENT DETERMINES THE MPG, NOT HONDA. I'M GETTING 400 MILES PER TANK IN MOSTLY CITY DRIVING. JUST FILL UP YOUR TANK, DONT RIDE YOUR BRAKES OR DRIVE IRRATIONALLY, AND YOUR GAS MILEAGE WILL IMPROVE. THE RIDE IS COMFORTABLE AND PLEASANT WHEN DRIVING OR AS A PASSENGER. HOWEVER, AS WITH ANY VEHICLE, IF YOU'RE DRIVING ON BAD ROADS, YOU'RE GOING TO FEEL SOMETHING....read morehide

- Agree ride is a little rough, tires feel hard.
Only had the car two weeks but so far just love it. Had a Grand Marquis and had no room in our small garage, now I have plenty of room. Right off the bat I got good mileage. And love the XM radio.

- None, I really am satisfied
Sorry but it's true. I actually own this vehicle and I see a lot of lies being told. It's a shame these forums are being abused by car dealers ... and it's sooo obvious these are car dealers that going on and on as if the CR-V was the worst car ever made. Save yourself some time, read professional reviews and talk to real CR-V owners. There are great forums out there....read morehide

I already reviewed this car and gave it a perfect score but I wanted to comment on a few more things. I have owned my CR-V for 3 months and I am not a sales person. Some reviewers would like for people to believe that anything positive said about the CR-V has to be coming from a dealer. However, these same people use their review to name drop for Toyota, Mitsubishi, and other car companies ... what's up with that? The CR-V engine is not noisy and it has plenty of power. One of the first things I noticed about the vehicle was that I couldn't even tell it was running because it's so quiet and I don't hear any noise at higher speeds either. On rough roads, the CR-V rattles a bit, other than that, it's fine. The ride is quiet and comfortable to me. The headrest doesn't bother me or cause any neck pains. It's designed that way for safety reasons and if its true that it can reduce head and neck injuries in accidents, I think that's wonderful and I wouldn't want to lose that feature. I don't believe the complaints that the vehicle dents easy. The vehicle seems very strong and sturdy to me and based on what I was told when I purchased it and the literature given to me, the CR-V was redesigned to withstand collisions better. It also received the highest rating for frontal and side crash tests. Of course, you can always choose to believe that the government works for Honda too if that makes you feel any better. I think the tire pressure monitoring system is a great feature. I have not had any problems with mine. The light went off one time and I discovered there was a piece of metal stuck in my tire. Once I had the tire plugged and inflated, the light went off. If it were not for the TPMS I would have ended up with a flat. From my experience with a previous vehicle, sometimes weather that causes tires to expand and contract can make the TPMS light up. If that's not the case, I certainly hope your issues are resolved soon. Of course there is no such thing as a perfect vehicle, but the CR-V is the best vehicle I have owned and I think it was worth every penny....read morehide

- great fuel economy, safety, great options, smooth ride
- I have to wait until mine comes in to drive
I did lots of research before buying my 2007 CRV EX-L Navi and was very impressed with the rating by Consumer Reports, Edmunds, and in general anyone who has driven one. I admit it is not a V6 but isn't the reason for going with a small SUV that 1) we don't want the cost of fuel for a big guzzler, 2) we don't require the size of a truck or large SUV 3)we are not going off-roading here! I will be city and highway driving and I am confident this will be an awesome car to own. I love the flexibily of the back car seats and the leg room in the back seats is amazing. I do love the look of the 2007 CRV as it doesn't scream I am a large SUV "wanna-be"! Personally I am tired of the minivan and wanted to have something fun and practical! While those against the CRV are out driving their choice (different strokes for different folks...and that's OK!)...I'll be enjoying a warm butt on heated front seats, an awesome sterio system and a navigation system to help me drive to where my heart is content!! and know I am driving a very SAFE vehicle! Way to go HONDA!!!...read morehide

- Good fuel economy , sexy looks , power to weight ratio , highly stable and ovrall it's a HONDA
I drove the Honda cr-v , toyota rav 4 and hyundai santa fe...
Hyundai is a korean company and so i can't expect quality , technology , reliability etc like a Honda or a Toyota...
The santa fe is only good for its looks...the build qulity i worse than the ride quality and i was ashamed to ride a suv like that...
For God sake , I won't buy a hyundai...its really a junk.
Toyota rav 4 was good , ofcourse better than the hyundai as always but couldn't match with the honda.
Rav 4 is huge , but not pratical as the honda. Ride quality was better than the build quality. Handling is not that good.
Honda cr-v is the best of all , rated the best for it's safety , technology build quality and ride quality.
As a fact , that it is a honda , the cr-v has the best engine and reliabilty and fuel efficiency is at its best. Handling is one of the plus points for cr-v. My God , i couldn't believe that i was riding a suv.
It was silky smooth , car like handling , power like sedan and it was like a dream come true.
Clearly , cr-v is the king ... the dream machine....read morehide
