2007 Honda CR-V
There are 29 user reviews for the EX-L 4WD 5-Spd AT w/ Navigation System trim shown below
- Comfortable, quiet, roomy, top rate materials, excellent engine and trans, AWD is impressive
- Seats are a little hard, gas tank needs to be larger
I bought this vehicle as a tow car for our motorhome. It was the only AWD automatic compact SUV that is towable. The CRV replaced two other vehicles, Mazda3 and Durango 4x4 which I got rid of. The CRV has a large cargo capacity for its size. The rear seats are adjustable and recline; plenty of room for adults. The 17" tires work well with the AWD. The vehicle is very stable on all types of road conditions. The four cylinder engine is of excellent design with a steel timing chain. With the vehicle loaded, I had no trouble with hills or mountain grades. The navagation system works better than my portable. Will never be without a navigation system as it can also include businesses, hotels, motels, and other points of interest. Never had XM radio and love the programs including the large variety of entertainment available. The voice command is awesome. I have yet to learn all the phrases to control the radio and navi. The daytime running lights have saved me from several situations that could have resulted in close calls.
Fuel economy has matched posted ratings on the sales sticker. I would say that 28 mpg on the highway is probably the best with 26.5-27.5 about normal. In town seems to be about 22-23 mpg. Keep in mind that this is a AWD vehicle with a lot more running gear underneath. The best mileage is obtained, on the open road, at speeds around 70 mph when the engine can get into a better working rpm. Another plus is that the engine runs well on regular gas.
As a tow car, the vehicle tows well behind our class C motorhome with the off road Roadmaster towbar and Roadmaster top of the line proportional brake controller.
Overall, if you are looking for a high quality vehicle, that can meet most any road and weather condition, get the CRV. If you want a vehicle that is easy to drive, easy to get in and out of, and can transport four large adults with ease, get the CRV. It does not get the best mileage, but gets the best mileage of an AWD vehicle in its class. If you are a clear weather driver, then you will want to look for something else....read morehide

- Great fuel MPG, comfort and handling, spacious
- Would have been better w/ 6 cyl
I bought this CRV in Texas last Sept 2007 before I move to Maine. I had a 2WD truck and I wanted a vehicle that can negotiate the snow in New england and give me good fuel mileage as gas prices keeps going up. Both of my expectations were met. MPG on my long drive from TX to Me. averaged 29-30 MPG. Right now I average 23 MPG and I commute 21 miles one way to work. It is absolute great on snow. Traction control works well and AWD works very seamless. I arrived at my destination with the installed GPS without looking at a map. GPS is becoming an absolute necessity. If you are looking for an efficient, responsive and reliable vehicle, CRV is your car. If you plan on going off-roading and hauling, get a 14MPG truck or SUV. This is an outstanding, efficient and reliable vehicle for your daily and long drive commute....read morehide

I have my CRV2007 just this October and I really love it. No comment. Its the best of the Honda this year. Actually its the No. 1 SUV in CHINA. China are making 5000 in a month and it is all sold out and with more orders. This time if you want to buy, you need to wait for 6-7months. Most of the consumer cant wait that is why they are shifting to buy Sportage or rav4. But still a lot of Honda Loyalist are still waiting.
I LOVE MY CRV!!!!! MUAHHH!!! ITs the best in CHINA...read morehide

- Great GPS, sharp looking car
- The Fron Seats are very uncomfortable
Love everything about the car, with the exception of the front seats. Everyone that has driven the car more than thirty minutes starts to complain of back pain.

- It's an SUV just like others.
- Price to high for a 4 banger, bad on fuel, hard seats & ride, no V6 engine or 6 speed tranny.
It is obvious that the Honda CRV just does not cut it in terms of performance, style, price, ride and warranty. Try the Mitsubishi Outlander for the same price, but better value for your money, like V6 3.0L 220hp, 20/27MPG, 6 speed auto transmission, 10 year/100,000 mile warranty (best Japanese warranty) and nicer styling....read morehide

- Honda was good at some point, but not anymore. Quality & build going down fast.
- High priced, low valued return, weak 4 cylinder engine, heavy body, bad MPG!
For the heavy body of this SUV, it needed a bigger engine to copensate its weight and improve the gas mileage, it needs with that a 6 speed auto transmission and more features with less price. Solution is go with the Mitsubishi Outlander with V6 engine 6 speed auto transmission with shifting, better gas mileage at 20 city/27 highway, lower price, better value, nicer shape and longer 10 years/100,000 miles warranty which Honda nor Toyota can give. It should be the other way around, because Toyota & Honda brag of its quality....read morehide

- ALWAYS OVERHEATING
WHEN I FIRST DECIDED TO BUT MY FIRST CAR IT TAKES MONTHS TO THINK WHAT KIND OF BRAND I PREFER TO HAVE, AND I FINALLY CHOOSE HONDA CRV 2007, AT FIRST FIVE MONTHS ON ME ITS SOUNDS COOL, RELAXING BUT IN THE FEW N\MONTHS I EXPERIENCED A TRAUMATIC EVENT I DON'T KNOW IF ITS IN THE CAR, THE MANUFACTURER, OR IN ME AS THE DRIVER, WHEN I HAD MY VACATION LAST MONTH AND DRIVING WITH A 115 KM/HOUR CONFIDENTLY BECAUSE AS WHAT I HAVE HEARD THAT HONDA IS SUCH A QUALITY CAR I DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE WHEN MY SPEED GO OVER 120 KM./HR MY CAR DO A ZIGZAG MOTION IN WHICH VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL, AND AFTER THAT ACCIDENT I NEVER BUT A HONDA CAR AGAIN AND SOLD MY OLD ONE AND CHANGE WITH THE OTHER BRAND....read morehide

- The navigation system is easy to figure out. The car hugs the curves and doesn't feel "top-heavy".
- Arm rest too short and not adjustable.
This is a wonderful vehichle. It is smooth and I love it's curves. It is fun to drive and it has all the extras. I love the telescopic steering wheel, attractive dash, storage compartments, XM radio, gps, flip back seats, rear storage coverage/tray. I hope I still am in love with this car in 15 years!...read morehide
