- AIRBAGS, AIRBAGS and more AIRBAGS
- Road noise
I fell in love with this car the first time I saw the advertisement of the new body style on a commercial. We bought the car for my daughter who is about to turn 16. Unfortunately while I was driving someone ran a redlight and hit us on the passenger side. The main reason we purchased this car for my daughter is because of the safety features and it completely lived up to our expectation. My son was not injured seriously solely because of all the airbags that deployed on the passenger side. We have the leather seats and I find them to be comfortable and the rest of the interior very nice. I love the XM radio feature built into the existing radio from the factory. It iwas a little pricey, but I felt the price was justified after our accident....read morehide

- Good fuel economy, Good design, Good A/C.
- Rear seats don't remove
Have 16000 miles on it now. Just got back from a trip. 29.6, 31 and 28.5 mpg on 3 tanks, driving over 80mph. Didn't even need to get out much because the seats were so comfortable. Great handling. Quiet. Really killer stereo. The rear space for hauling stuff would be better if the seats could be removed. Still plenty of space as is. I can put my bicycle back there without taking the front wheel off. The ride is stiffer than the previous models. You will LOVE this car....read morehide

- It was a Honda
- Very poor gas mileage, wonders around on road, seats of poor quality
Purchased the CRV Sep 2006, The air conditioner will not cool the car in the central Florida summer. At first the gas mileage was very good 24 city 29 hwy. I has decreased down to 15 city and 24 hwy. Dealer has not been able to correct. This car was made in Japan and was not up the Honda's quality. We have driven Honda's since 1981 and this is the first one we have gotten rid of after 11 months of disappointment with the ride and poor quality....read morehide

- Too much hype for a not so good, pricey & bad MPG small SUV. Get the Patriot!
- High Price for small value, Bad MPG and Underpowered SUV
The thing that bothers me that the price was high for its value and the fuel economy of a V6 engine, I should have bought a V6 with that price and fuel mileage and wouldn't complain. I was looking at the Jeep Patriot that could be bought for $15,000, with the same size engine and getting better fuel mileage. I'll have to rethink on keeping this gas guzzler and trade it in soonest....read morehide

- Build quality, fit and finish, engineering. Nice driveline.
- Only getting 18mpg in city...advertised as 23.
Tough ride on highway. Weighs 500lbs more than my Volvo 240 on same wheelbase but doesn't really ride as good. Good for short trips but tough to swallow gas mileage although when I did take it out on highway was getting 35mpg.

- Engine is loud and thrashy/underpowered on hills, suspension clunky, transmission shifts are off...
I've owned a few Hondas and no complaints. I bought this 07 CR-V LX 2WD in March.
Not at all pleased...just doesn't seem like it's built to last... Engine STRUGGLES on hills with 4 passengers, revs are close to redline for too long before transmission decides to shift. Engine is loud and thrashy, like metal on metal. Axle and Suspension make clunking sounds on slightly bumpy roads.
You can feel ALL the engine's vibrations and transmission shifts through steering wheel and gas pedal. Rattle in passenger door on speedbumps at 2mph. I miss my Accord, too bad they still didn't make a wagon.
With only 5k miles I can't imagine anything going wrong. It's been in for an oil change and nothing showed up on the 30 point check.
It's a Honda, and I'm barely on my 4th Payment....but I'm dumping it the first chance I get.
IT RUNS LIKE AN OLD CAR ALREADY....NEVER HAD THAT NEW CAR FEEL!
I HAVE NO CONFIDENCE IN THIS CAR MAKING IT TO 300K LIKE A HONDA SHOULD....read morehide

- Looks great and gets comments all the time!
- Money Pit already
At 10,000 miles I needed 2 new front tires. the tires were worn down to the steel belts. Honda said it was faulty tires. firestone said it was bad vehicile alignment. I replaced the tires at my expense of over $200.00. Now the 2 brand new front tires have about 5000 miles on them, and they are balding just like the first 2. I have mismatched tires now, with originals that now have 15,000 miles on them on the back and 2 that have about 5000 miles on the front. How the heck am I supposed to rotate and balance like that???
At 14,000 my front brakes were worn 85% and I just had the brakes changed, again at my expense of over $200.00.
The front windows shake and rattle and are very noisy. Dealor says it' s normal for them to do that. Never had windows do that before.
I had a 203 CR V that I loved and thought I could love the 07 even more, since it had a liftgate and not a door, but I was wrong. I can't keep up with the brake and tire expenses at this rate. One good thing, this has been reported to Honda and the CR V could be in line for a front end recall as more vehicles make it the 13,000 - 15,000 mileage range. Bad for me though, I've never been so disappointed in a new vehicle purchase....read morehide

- MPG guage really helpful, Handling, comfortable seats, MP3 audio in, backdoor opens like a hatchback
- Need more compartment space between the seats. Cannot remove the backseats. Need holders in trunk.
This is my 1st car. I wanted good mileage, nimble car but not a huge one. Also good handling, safty bags all-around, and something to carry the stuff from costco to home. Also an optional 3rd row removable seats would be nice. Looks at others like matrix, Tucon, KIA Rondo, and RAV4. Ended up getting a 07 CRV. It is great so far. Engine is ok, I can bear with it. But my 2 biggest cons are the 2nd row seats cannot be removed. That can only be rolled up. I wish they made them removable when I need to buy something big at IKEA. Move make it fold up like the seats in the Element. Also need more compartment space in between the seats and also in the trunks. Something I need to put stuff like tools, pens, rope, I need a place on the side to hold these useful items. Also the cup holder in between the seats is not deep enough. Sometimes my drink tilt side to side too much. Any for 08, they should make the 2nd row door a sliding door like the Mazda5....read morehide

- I am getting about 26 mpg in the city with stop/go driving/ Drive gently, don't have to speed.
I am physically disabled and had I knowh how good this vehicle is, I would have bought it a long time ago. BEAUTIFUL. Excellent mileage. Smooth ride. I don't know where folk get the complaint of road and air noise. My CRV is beautifully quiet and easy to handle. The only thing of which I am not too fond is the placement of the shift. Though, this placement does save space elsewhere.Brake noise? Yes, slight until the car warms up. My dealer explained that these are new type brakes and occasionally make a slight noise. Then it goes away after driving for about ten minutes. Also, my dogs love the back cargo space. Put a soft quilt back there and they're in doggie heaven....read morehide
