- Good fuel economy, roomy, versatile
- Tad bumpy ride
Purchased As New
This has been an excellent vehicle. For a 4-cylinder, it has good power and does very well in the hills. We love the crossover SUV for it's ability to haul stuff that cannot fit in a small-midsized car and the CR-V is no exception. It handles well. The only flaw that I can think of is rolling over bumps is a little bit harsher and noisier than other vehicles we've owned but still not that bad: others have been worse. Fit and finish are great and we've had absolutely no problems with the car. We'd definitely buy a CR-V again!...read morehide

- Average mileage is 27 mpg.
- Front tires wear unevenly, rough ride, noisy, bad blind spots
Worst thing about this car is bad blind spots. Makes Houston freeway driving dangerous. Best thing is fuel economy and lack of engine problems.

- Great Gas Mileage, doors open 5% more than standard cars, handles great and power when you need it
- Brakes are sensitive, leather seats are a little stiff
I bought my 2008 CRV EX-L 2WD last week and took it on a trip with my wife. We got an average of 26.5 MPG for the entire trip. Most of the city driving we were able to keep it between 24 and 26 and on the highway we were getting in the neighborhood of 27+. After our 1400 mile journey we didn't experience any discomfort or problems. There is enough room for luggage and people. I stand 6'5'' and I rather enjoyed driving the CRV. With the highest safety ratings in its class it really sold itself. I was able to get a great deal from my dealer. We didn't have to put any money down and we financed $250 less than the invoice. It's all in the way that you present it to the dealer....read morehide

I actually have a 2007 EX-L and I get 28.5 mpg on the highway! The heated leather seats are sensational. The handling is great - precise. Very comfortable. I chose the Borrega Beige Metallic and it's gorgeous, in my opinion. I've had it almost two years and have never regretted the purchase....read morehide

- Good from any point of view.
- No ashtray-no small garbage for those who doesn't smoke.
I had "Suzuki Vitara". Nice and cute. Wanted a new car.Fell in love with "Honda CRV" from the first look and test drive. It is bigger than "Suzuki" so the first day it was hard to adjust(driving, parking). But after a few days I can say I am happy to have "Honda" ....read morehide

- M.P.G.'s were a little less than expected, having had several Hondas before.
- Nothing really stands out as a negative, only inconsiquentials, maybe.
I have had five Honda vehicles since 1988, even with cutting edge "production options" like 4 wheel steering (not 4 wheel drive). Now have an 08 Accord EXL & an 07 CRV. Everything always worked well when reasonably driven and maintained. Resale was always excellent. Even had a Korean vehicle which was same year and mileage and got one fifth the trade-in amount what I got for an equivalent Honda S.U.V. Only can't understand why my new CRV gets only 28 mpg with similar hp as our last model 2004 Accord which weighed approximately the same, and got 36 mpg. Must be the way each vehicle is gearing and aero-dynamics . . . the way it pushes through the wind. Still best brand for your dollar on the market and I was a dealer and have had over 50 vehicles titled in my name!...read morehide

- Great on gas, comfortable for long drives, lots of storage
My wife and I purchased our 2008 CRV after having our first child. My wife had driven a Civic for about 6 years and wanted to stick with Honda. I am glad she did. I love this car. It gets great gas mileage, which is essential in the times we are living in. It is very comfortable, we have taken it on a few long road trips. One feature I really like is the fact that the rear doors open to a 90 degree angle, this makes is very easy getting a child in and out of the back seat. Overall, I really have no complaints about the car....read morehide

- good handling, a/c works great- do not need rear vents. Rear seats recline for kids.
- fuel economy not as good around town.
For a small SUV, this is a wonderful value. Good leg room in the back. A little disappointed with the comfort of the front seats, should be more lumbar support.

- Good mileage, a must buy, good styling
- No cons
THis is the best out there for anyone. You should buy one if looking for a small Suv, great styling and mileage might not be great, but when compared with other small SUVs it is one of the best.
The seats are fantastic. It is a must buy. Great car, not lying like others. One of the best vehicles to drive in the traffic congested city of washington D.C...read morehide

- Appearance and functionality
- Poor gas mileage in city
I have an '08 CR-V 2WD EX-L now with 1500 miles on it. I am averaging 14.7 mpg in city driving around Los Angeles and think this is way too low. I am driving on flat terrain, in moderate temperatures, with no A/C, proper tire pressure, no overly-rapid acceleration, and lots of coasting instead of braking. In short, I am doing everything I possibly can and I am still getting very poor gas mileage, far short of EPA's 2008 20 mpg rating for city driving.
Note: on my one significant highway drive so far, I averaged 27mpg, which equals the EPA 2008 mpg rating for highway driving.
If it is possible to set this characteristic aside, I do have to say I like the looks of the car and the features in the EX-L. It is moderately fun to drive and I feel safe taking my 6-month around town....read morehide
