This vehicle has very comfortable fabric seats and good all-around visibility. It has a rearview camera, which naturally makes backing up easier and safer.
In terms of the drive, it's very tight. There are no rattles or unwanted noises from the vehicle. The steering is responsive and the acceleration is very peppy for city driving. The brakes are fairly sensitive, but it takes almost no time at all to adapt to them.
I'm a fan of the intuitive iPod interface through the screen on the center console. The controls on the dashboard are simple and easy to maneuver. There are also handy radio/volume and bluetooth controls mounted on the steering wheel. The sunroof is a nice touch as well.
Practicality is a major plus with the CR-V. The back rows instantly fold down with a simple pull of a lever on each side in the back. This leaves for plenty of room for cargo. To reassemble the seats, simply push them back up and they will click in place.
I only have a couple minor gripes with the CR-V. I noticed that if I try to position my left foot on the plastic rest when driving, the parking brake digs into my shin. Maybe it's just the size of my leg (I'm 6'2"), but I feel that the positioning of the brake could have been better. Also, passing on highway could be a chore at times. The transmission tends to hang in 5th gear if not given a healthy press on the accelerator. If the vehicle is in ECON mode, which reduces acceleration in place of added fuel economy, passing becomes even harder.
Overall, I am very happy with my CR-V. I tend to average about 28.5 mpg in mixed driving, and I once maxed out at 33.2 mpg on a trip with mainly highway driving. I couldn't be happier with the comfort and drive quality of the vehicle. For these reasons, I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone.
