A blast to drive.
I drove the TDI Gulf, The Mini Cooper and the Cooper-S. Bought the CRZ. No regrets. Check the Consumer Reports Web Site - very, very similiar performance results - and its a Honda.
The Mini dealer had to jump the demo because the battery was dead. The Gulf is fun, but uncomfortable for short people to drive.
The Honda is - a Honda. Controls are where they belong. Its well behaved. Only complaints are the wimpy horn and the lack of a lumbar adjustment. A leather option would be a good addition.
