- Good on gas (I get 28/34), Roomy, Handles well
- A/C could be better, Honda doesn't haggle on price, warranty only 3/36k
I've had my 2007 Honda Fit for 15 months now and I don't necessarily regret buying it but I have had a few issues with my car:
The original frt. tires have recently worn out at 18,000 miles! Ok, I admit I did not rotate them but I did not expect such wear so soon. Check the tread rating for the stock tires - it is inferior.
The powertrain control module went out at 1 yr and it was in the dealership for a week as Honda waited on the part. I did get them to provide me with a rental with some prodding. I hope this was an isolated incident.
The A/C cycles way too frequently and the fan is noisy. I was told by dealer that this is normal for a Fit. While the A/C still works as well as it did when I bought it (knock on wood) it has never been one to freeze you out.
I have a slow driver's door leak around the seal somewhere that eventually finds its way to trickle down and dampen the floor under the floormat whenever it rains. This moisture is very difficult to soak up.
A few times, the key got stuck in the ignition slot and was it hard to turn...
The wipers squeak and one is better off replacing them.
This is not really a defect but I sure wish Honda would have put in an AUX plug (available only w/Sport) to play an Ipod or at least have the CD player able to play MP3/AAC. I changed the factory stereo for this alone and that was inconvenient.
They could also help by putting some real gages on the display like temp, voltage, etc.
I hate to rag on my ride - other than these complaints I've enjoyed my Fit and hope to keep it for a while....read morehide

- fuel economy
- ugly, feels like a tuna can
I would like to get rid of but who wants it, rides to rough and feel like an outdated yuppy. Zippy but not peppy.

- great fuel economy, tons of room
- a little bumpy on those pot holes, but again, what isn't!?
I love this little car !! It gets me where I want to go with gas to spare. On a recent trip to Canada, I got 40.4 miles per gallon. WOW- around town I've been getting 34. And the thing is , it's an automatic !!
I recommend this to all my gas guzzling vehicle friends.

- Love the color, great fuel economy, roomy interior
- Lousy fabric on seats, always covered with lint
I love this car. Mine is Tidewater Blue, sport model. I got it on St. Patrick's Day and still can't believe it's mine. I did have one problem, the horn that sounds when you lock the car started to sound really faint and finally let go totally. The dealer fixed it with no problem. My only con with this car is the fabric used in the interior. It is a lint magnet. I drive alone, have no children or pets in the car. Where the lint comes from, I'll never know. All in all, the mileage is great and the car performs excellently....read morehide

- yep...love crusin' past petrol stations.. :)
- needs a little more pep.
I roadtested 2 fits, the sport and the regular..
I fell in love with my TideWater Blue fit and on line.. ordered it from the Honda dealer, who was great at giving me just the accessories I wanted and nothing I didn't..
3 weeks later.. I was driving off the lot in my '08 Fit. It's been so much fun to zoom about town and I don't miss filling up.. every 2 weeks I pull in for a top up..
only con? It could use a touch more pep on highways, but reaches 60mph in a reasonable time.. and smooth cruisin'
It's perfect, thanks Honda....read morehide

- Great fuel economy, great handling and a fun car to drive.
- Small gas tank, no arm rest, no passenger side vanity mirror.
This is the best and safest compact car ever made. With numerous airbags you will feel safe and it is very versatile.

- Easy on gas, good get-up for a sub-compact, excellent handling
- Base vehicle could come with a few more upgrades (especially in the wheel department)
Got my 2008 Fit about 3 weeks ago. I traded in my Jeep Wranger for the little sub-compact because I needed to save some money on gas, and did it ever! I drive about 90 miles total (to and from work) and gas was costing me nearly 300 bucks a week in my Jeep. This car has cut my gas bill in half! Great handling, good stereo system, instrument panel looks nice. Not sure where people are getting the "has no get-up" comments? My auto trans has plenty of get-up (a lot more than my jeep had). And cruises right along at nearly 80 on the highway with no wiggle in the wheel. I'm a big dude (the tall and fat type) and I can easliy "fit" into the Fit with tons of space. Parallel parking is a snap too, and my insurance rate is much lower now thanks to the safety rating of the Fit. Granted it may not be a big powerful SUV that you can take hunting/fishing, but it gets me where I need to go, saves a ton on gas, and makes me feel a little better about my vehicles carbon emissions (since the Fit is a Low Emissions Vehicle!) I would recommend this car to anyone!...read morehide

- Fuel economy & price, feels stronger than 109horsepower
- Unoriginal mini-mini van styling
Well it is the smallest mini-van I have ever seen. The styling is Ugly and Bland. But it is Awesome in regards to price, fuel economy, auto paddle shifters, and all round fun to drive daily driver. Honda hit a bullseye with this one. You must get it in blue, white and silver. It looks bad/ugly in black, red, yellow, and other warm colors. Just park it under a tree fold the front seats back and enjoy the comfort. It definitely needs a T.V. in the console....read morehide

- Fuel economy
- slightly underpowered engine
I bought the Honda Fit when it initially released in the USA. My job requires driving every day in heavily congested Los Angeles; this is why I chose an automatic transmission. The car is nimble. I can zip in and out of traffic lanes faster than most cars, but the engine has a half second pause when you step on the gas pedal, which was annoying at first, but now I'm used to it. On the freeways, in congested Los Angeles, the Fit could use more pep to get up to freeway speeds but, once you get up to 60 to 70 MPH, it can stay at those speeds easily, mainly because of the car's weight; it weighs about 1500 lbs. I had small- and mid-sized SUVs before. The Fit handles much better. It's a great city car, but if you live in a locale with a lot of wide-open highways with hills or mountain passes, you'll notice that the car struggles to keep pace with most other vehicles....read morehide
