I have driven this car over 16,000 miles, and am very satisfied with it, so far. I have found city driving to be about 28 mpg. But it's on the freeway, that the fit really shines. On one 45 mile stretch of not entirely flat freeway, no A/C, cruise set at 55mph, I averaged 49.6 MPG. That same stretch of road at 65-70 mph, with A/C will net about 40 mpg. I love the perfectly flat surface of the fold down rear seats. And I have had trouble free driving, so I am a happy camper. Mileage wise, its only equal is a hy-brid, for about $10,000 more. I am looking forward to the day that Honda introduces the Fit hybrid to the U.S., as its MPG is off the charts.
