Purchased As New
At first I was happy with the mileage but after about 25,000 miles I could tell the battery capacity was dropping. The battery charge level would drop suddenly, not allowing it to be used, and then it would charge and then go to full capacity suddenly. Having worked as an engineer with battery systems I recognize this as the symptoms of battery capacity loss. The mileage was also getting much worse. I took it to Honda since it was under warranty but they said there was nothing wrong. I think after the issues/lawsuits with the Civic Hybrids, Honda weren't about to admit there is an issue with this car. Eventually I had to sell the car because I know the IMA system is not going to hold out. Other issues: this car has about the worst audio system I have heard in years in a new car; interior materials are cheap, I would place my hand against the interior side of the door and the plastic material would push in and then pop back out; the sun visors are useless; the navigation system has a major bug, if ask it to go to a specific business, e.g. McDonalds, it picks a random one, usually hundreds of miles away; it is not a road car, long trips are uncomfortable. I could go on but this is a car to avoid.
