We have driven this car 14,xxx miles through one of Northern Minnesota's worst winter's on record. We drive @ 74 miles round trip to work everyday, except when we are expecting snow totals over seven inches in a twelve hour period. Then we drive our 2004 Saturn Vue AWD with @ 62,xxx miles. The car handles well, speed performance is what you might expect for a 1.3 liter engine.
But MPG is where this car Really shines! Our former car was 2003 Ford Focus with milage in the low 30's. The lowest we have experienced (my wife keeps a daily log of mpg and temp) was at -30f when we were getting 44 mpg.
The highest was on one trip to Hibbing, MN and back (about 82 miles) we got 61 mpg! Though our daily averages are in the mid 50's.
