Pros Towed a H/D to NY; van loaded...got 20+ mph
Cons drivers seat higher than Kia...have to scrunch to get in
Purchased as New
This is the best car/van I've ever owned...worked for GM for 27+ years and they build junk...now; they are in China...good ridance...we get excellent milage and the car is good looking( It's dark cherry) and the ride is excellent...a little too much road noise...so I turn up the 15gig stereo......MoreHide

Pros First 580 mile trip.... 25.2 MPG
Cons Price
Purchased as New
This is our 2nd Ody. The first one went through everything you could throw at it and kept running fine up to 175,000 miles. You can buy the Sienna for less and the Sienna is faster, but didn't like those seat tracks in the Sienna. A for sure dirt and french fries catcher. A true pain to clean. The seats are much more comfortable than the older models. I worked hard at getting 25.2 MPG this past weekend. Likely could do better if all highway, so I will say that 27 HWY on the sticker is possible. Quiet inside, but there is wind buffeting at speed if the windows are down just a little. You can sometimes feel the cylinder management kicking in and out, which annoyed me, but its the wife's car so I didn't say a word. :) She won't notice it. Rear seats are 10 times easier to drop into well than the old models and give you plenty of room. 62 inches from tailgate to the folded rear set of seats which slide forward too. Dash board controls are buttons galore, so that will require a learning curve. Bluetooth works well with her high tech phone. XM radio is a novelty to her, so I see spending more money to keep it going. Power steering is now electric, so you do loose some road feel vs. the older models. Not sure that is an improvement. It's a great van for hauling people or lots of stuff. Looked at big SUV models and they just can't compare in mileage or comfort. A Suburban's rear seats fold down, but you have to lug them out if you want to use the space. Just drop them down in the Ody. Sunroof is nice, but I dread the day it won't close. We keep vehicles until they die, so after it passes 50k, doubtful I'll ever open the sunroof again. Don't like Honda's non hot wired 12volt power points. My Ford lets your device run as long as its plugged in. 1200 miles, all is well. Will try and come back here in 6 months and give you an update....MoreHide

Pros Everything, except fuel consumption.
Cons MPG
Purchased as New
Purchased the van new. We are a family of five and this van works great for a big family. Highly recommend the Odyssey but my only complaint is that we mainly use the vehicle on the highway and we are currently only getting 20.4 MPG. Very spacious and practical. This is my first Honda but from what I researched quality and durability should not be an issue....MoreHide
