2005 Honda Odyssey User Reviews
EX 5-Spd AT w/ Leather shown
- $6,889 - $11,076
- No trim specified for this review
- Power on demand, spacious, VERY easy to drive
- wind noise at freeway speeds, no change drawer, fuel economy, seats aren't that comfy
I really like the van overall, especially the interior space and the leg room in the 3rd row. The seats are built for a small to medium sized person and as such are now always comfortable for my 220# frame. Petite to average sized women tend to find them very comfortable. I wish it came with a change drawer. Small thing, but important. It has 2 gloveboxes which is a great feature (only 1 locks). It drives VERY well. Definitely more car-like than mini-van like. 2 of my friends own Siennas & at freeway speeds we all agree their vans are quieter. In the end though, all 3 of us would choose the Odyssey given the choice. Nice to have all the safety features without having to deal with packages (for features). I got the LX (base) & it has all the basics that I need. Power windows, air, and a powerful engine (all trim levels use the same engine). Sliding doors could be a bit easier to slide, but my 6 year old is fine opening & closing them. On my particular vehicle, it takes a good slam to fully shut the rear door. Very happy with the LX. Plain, but functional & a great value. Paid $24,000 including destination. $26,255.-- out the door. I was told it was a great value by the finance people, but I figured they said that to everyone. I figured that the LX models weren't selling too well. Everyone seemed to want the EX-L (leather), so I guess I got lucky. Happy with the vehicle. Would recommend for a sensible & useful utility vehicle that is safe & handles like a large, tall car.
