- Great family van...PAX tires problem not disclosed!
- PAX tires wear out quickly and cannot be replaced by a better product! $$$
After one year of ownership (about 25K miles), the PAX tires have worn significantly. When the dealership was contacted, we were told that Honda is aware of the problem but is doing nothing...nor is Michelin. These tires cannot be substituted for any other product and the replacements are expensive...around $1,100 before labor. We also own a full-size Toyota SUV and had all 4 XL tires replaced (after 2.5 years of ownership. About 50K miles) for about $750. Had we known that this was going to be an annual problem, especially given our harsh winters and the necessity of good traction, we would have opted for either another trim level or a competitors product. The "exclusivity" of the tires was not disclosed, nor were the potential problems. BEWARE when buying the Touring model!
