- Great ride. Very quiet, spacious, good traction. I love it
- The covering plastic gets worn easily, inside light do not switch off by itself after switched on
I love this van inside and out. My only problem is the lights for the back seats do not switch off by themselves after a while ,if they are switched on. (As it is very likely when you travel with children, and why would you buy a van if you do not have children!) That means it kills my battery all over and over again if I don't realize in time and switch them off. Honda really should correct this problem....read morehide

- smooth powerful engine, excellent handling
- road noise absolutely unacceptible, power doors
interior design and folding third seat very functional. Have 12,000 miles on car and no problems or defects.

- Comfort, convenience of features
- Bad transmission, frequent "small" problems, low fuel economy
This is my first and last Honda. I bought a 2002 and purchased it for the supposed "Honda Reliability", which has been a farce. The transmission went out right after the warranty expired. The power doors come off track. The first time to door came off track, it put a scatch about 2-3 feet long down my van. Circuitry has constant problems - door latches and lights going on and off randomly. Makes strange noises when accelerating.
It was a great vehicle for about 35,000 miles. Then it became a POS. Initially, I didn't mind paying the $$$ for the vehicle because I thought I would be able to drive it for a long time. I was SOOOOO wrong!...read morehide

- Large family fits well
- Brakes soft and get softer and Transmission delay is bad
Have had in for brakes work 6 times now. Every time the brakes get softer and softer. Also the transmission needs like a 3-5 second delay when shifting. What is that about and they say that is normal. Look elsewhere I am looking at other options Hyundai seems to have good brakes.

- brake system
The service is terrible. I paid more than a month ago, but I still do not get my license plate. Once I paid, no one answer me, smile disappeared, and I went to the dealer 4 times, always excuse, actually, they did nothing for my license plate.
Nerve meet such terrible business.

- Noisy, AC problems not covered by warranty!
Imagine yourself spending $30K and after driving 2 years making trips to auto dealer every next month!
I am having AC issues, sliding door issues, front sliding windows making noise and now dealer is saying that there is a hole in AC compressor and it will cost me $1000 to fix this...
Well I am hitting my head against the wall, I wish I would have bought other mini van or may be Hyundai who has 10 year warranty!...read morehide

- Great ride, good gas milage and family practicle
- Having scary safety issues with this 2007 Honda Odyssey EX
Have experienced lots of sudden brake lock ups on this vehicle.
First time it happend dealer towed it to the shop and they kept it for a week.
Replaced one wheel bearing, both back rotors, calipers, pads etc. We picked the van up from the dealer.
Drove the van 95-miles and the same thing happened the back brakes locked up again, called the dealer and they towed it back to the shop and they kept it for another week. They replaced most of the same parts again and they told us they can't find any thing wrong with it. I have not seen any TESTING of the ABS, stability system, wheel sensors or the COMPUTER on any of the maintenance tickets from the dealer.
We picked up the van again and after another 145 miles from the last fix we had another brake lock up this time my wife was driving 70-miles per hour on the interstate. The brakes locked up again this time causing a near fatal accident. Honda says they know something is wrong but its not their fault. Any one out there with any similar problems??
So this is the third time for the same serious safety issue.
So its sitting at the dealer for almost a month now and Honda will not stand up and do the right thing. In the meantime I have no car and I do not know which way to turn....read morehide

- Good styling...Lots of power..
- Front seats are uncomfortable...sliding doors have a mind of their own.
The only thing I really like about tjis car is that I dfidn't have to pay for it, other wise I would be really mad right now. I got this as a company car a year ago. The front seat is uncomfortable and no matter where i put the power adjustable seat it is still uncomfortable. I won't drive the car on long trips for this reason and take the company's Dakota instead. I laughed when I read one other reveiw with the owner complaining about the sliding doors opening on their own. I have to also have set the alarm on my van all the time or the right door will open by itself. This is a problem during the canadian winter as I have come out at the end of the day and found the van with the door wide open and full of snow.The rest of the fleet are Sienna's and they are a much better van....read morehide

- Roomy, Handles well, Comfortable
- MPG, Noisy, Braking is spongy and unresponsive
I've never been more disappointed with a new vehicle purchase. I don't know where Honda got their MPG numbers from, but the best mileage I have seen is 17.8 HWY. Honda assures me that it will improve after the break-in period (they say after 10,000 miles). I have 3,000 miles on it now and am pretty sure it's broken in. The brakes are spongy and unresponsive. After replacing the master cylinder, Honda service decided the brakes are as they should be. The steering column has a rumbling noise that Honda is aware of and says lubrication will correct. It was reduced but not eliminated after lubrication, and Honda says some noise should be expected. I have a new vehicle that gets much less than advertised MPG, a soft and inconsistant brake pedal, and a rumble in the steering column. We purchase a new vehicle every two years or so and can't wait until '09 to get rid of this one....read morehide

- Roomy; good mileage; ergonomics;
- Automatic doors;
This is our 4th Honda, and first mini-van. Wanted room for travel with kids, antiques business, etc. Having owned several Accords, expected the Odyssey to be same great Honda quality. We have been very disappointed in this vehicle. If this was our first Honda, we would never think of buying another one. The automatic doors worked for about 6 months, then stopped altogether. The service shop at local dealership "can't find anything wrong" with the doors"--except that they DON'T WORK!!! One door actually slid open about a half inch while on the highway, with my kids in the back (Dealer says this is totally impossible, but I'm not lying and didn't imagine it.) That door no longer works at all, although the other one now works occasionally. Strangely, when I park the car & lock it, I must set the alarm or the remaining working door will spontaneously open on it's own. I have come out of the mall to find my sliding door wide open; or co-worker will tell me my car door is wide open in the parking lot; and it even happens in my driveway. Unless I set the alarm. Have made numerous trips to the service dept., and being told "they can find nothing wrong with the doors--except they don't work." They told me there have been no recalls at all on any Hondas regarding the doors. I am tired of the inconvenience, so no longer try to talk to them about it or take my car there. They are always very polite, but I no longer have any confidence in their capability. I no longer take this car on long family trips, which is the reason I bought it in the first place. I have always driven Hondas because I found them to be very reliable. I plan to replace my Odyssey within the year, but most likely NOT with another Honda. It will be the first car I've owned in 25 years that is NOT a Honda....read morehide
