- very roomy
- numerous problems with the fuel emission system
I have a 2003 Pilot. When I had it 6 months, the fuel pump went out. Now I am having a problem with the engine light coming on. I have taken it to the dealer 4 times in the last month and a half. One time they kept it for a full week and another was for a week and a half. The dealer has replaced at least 5 different parts all related to the fuel emission system. They said that there are multiple leaks in evap system. I got my SUV back last Wednesday only to have yet another problem. Now the fuel gauge doesn't show an accurate reading. After filling up the tank, the gauge only shows 3/4 of a tank. Again my Pilot is back at the dealer. Now they are saying that this too is related to the fuel emission system. Seems the fuel pump was not properly aligned. When I inquired about the "Lemon Law" I was informed that the problems had to occur within the first 2 years of ownership or within the first 24,000 miles. As my luck would have it, I've had the Pilot for 2 years, 1 1/2 months when the problems started!!!! (I also have 26,000 miles). I bought a Honda because they are SUPPOSED to be reliable but mine has been anything but.
