- Really comfortable, reliable, drives nice
- no cargo room
Purchased As New
We have had our Pilot for 4 years now and it has 63000 miles. It still runs just as nicley as it did the day we bought it. I have made no repairs, only 2 batteries, brakes (twice,) tires, and oil and transmission fluid changes. Everything still works beautifully. The leather seats still look good except one spot where my son likes to put his feet on the seat. I can't even believe that we have had it this long, it still seems new to me. It handles very well and is fun to drive.
The only things I wish it has is: MORE CARGO ROOM, stow and go seats would be nice, and an automatic closing hatch would help.
We are taking a cross country trip with our 4 kids and need to buy a mini van just for the trip because our luggage along with 6 people would be too crammed in for comfort. It's also a pain trying to buy something big or put a mountain bike in the back because the middle row doesn't fold down all the way. It's also a pain to pull the back row seats back up, I'm 5'3" and have to do acrobatics just to pull the seats back up.
All in all, I would reccomend this vehicle for someone with a small family (2-3 kids) who only needed to use the back row occasionally. Larger families shouldn't be drawn in with the 8 seat capacity.
Would I buy another one? Heck yeah, if Honda makes some improvements to the cargo area and makes it a bit more convienient for large families.
