2006 Honda Pilot
There are 7 user reviews for the EX 4WD 5-Spd AT w/Leather and Nav System trim shown below
- Nice SUV, roomy and comfortable. Nice pick up and like the navigational system
- The value, radio not as good. Need more style its 2007 now. I like my dodge nitro better.
This is a nice car but the value is too much than other SUVs. I know its Honda but not impressive on the inside. The good thing it got 8 passengers and leather seats. No mp3 or ipods. Need more compartments and cup holders.

- Good looking, Comfortable
- only 19 miles per gallons overall
I bought a Honda Pilot 2006 last January. Two days ago, only 3 months, after only 3000 miles, I could not start the engine. I need to use the jumping cable with the help of my friend car battery to have my car start again. I was very disappointed. A brand new car has problem with battery or starter. I will bring my car in tomorrow for the Honda dealer to check it out and it will take at least 4 hours for me waiting. I really do not have time for something like this. I think I make a mistake when purchasing a Honda. I should go for Toyota like my previous car....read morehide

- Navigations system, excellent handling and comfortable ride,xm satilite radio, back up camera.
- gas mileage, front pasenger set is not a power set.
I got the Pilot for almost a week now and I am really impressed with the accuracy of the navigation system, road handling is excellent with a very responsive engine that give a very smooth ride. I would certainly recommend Honda Pilot 06 with navigation. This car is really good for a family of 2 or 3 kids....read morehide

- Rides well, great fit & finish, safe, good electronics, top value.
- Fuel economy. Third seat legroom is tight.
I have driven a Honda Odyssey for over 6 years and have been pleased. I was thinking about another Odyssey, but decided that the AWD on the Pilot and slightly smaller size made it a better choice for me. I am thrilled with my choice. It is quieter and more comfortable that the 2003 Odyssey that I have been driving. The improved GPS is great, including the rear camera. The GPS screen is also integrated with the climate control system and a wonderful sound system, complete with XM radio (I will miss Howard Stern and my Sirius stations) and the whole thing operates on voice commands. Very functional and intuitive to operate.
Lots of thoughtful features throughout. Lots of well designed cup holders, hangers, hooks, bins, etc make it a great vehicle for those who live in their car. I drive over 20K a year and appreciate these touches. Seat comfort is good in the first 2 rows. The 3rd row is not really designed for 3 people... except kids. It is fine for 1 adult, 2 if they get along.
Safety is a big plus with the Pilot. It has airbags everywhere, a low tire pressure indicator, and the usual ABS, etc. These features, combined with the size and weight of the vehicle make it very safe unless you ask it to do more than anyone should ask of a mid-size SUV (no Grand Prix, please!).
This is really a big car, a cross over vehicle, rather than a full blown, truck built SUV. It will handles modest off road, but if you have visions of crossing 30 inch deep rivers, three foot snow drifts, and other "real" off-road fun, get a Hummer. That being said, since well over 90% of SUVs sold in the US never go off road at all, the Pilot is capable enough for almost all of us.
In short, the Pilot does everything that you ask it to do... and more. It is, in my opinion, the best balance of size, features, power, durability, and price in its class. It is easy to see why it gets best value ratings by almost all reviewers. If you want an AWD vehicle this size, and do not need a real truck-like animal, the Pilot is hard to beat....read morehide

- Smoothe ride-Great take off-Comfortable ride- Roomy
- Noisey Sub Woofer in rear...will explain fix
Great Mid Size SUV. First one for me.
About my vibrating rear subwoofer; With or without the rear seats folded, I was having a plastic rattle noise coming from the sub. I checked everything, change, extra bolt, loose sub....any way, the passenger side rear seat belt lays right on the rear storage and rattels from the sub.
When the belt is not in use, I simply slide the latch up the strap and secure it with a clip...Problem solved.
For those who complain about a "noisey motor at 70 mph" or "will not go faster that 70 mph" you need to turn off the "Stability control" "VSA" push the button in and a light which appears to look like a warning will appear on intrument panal, it in no way makes it unsafe to drive in this mode. Use your best judgement, and do what you wish, and not what I say. "-Read your manual before doing so.-" It is an ideal option for winter driving as it stops your tires from spinning, Other than that, I see no use to drive with it on, it does nothing to your miliage etc, you are not going to flip over. I built and bought Hondas for years, you will not find a finer AUTOMOBILE. Period....read morehide

- I love the gps system, heated sit, leather, voice activation and rear view camera
- not fuel economy
I love this pilot just like anything. Only problem is that so far I am getting 16 mile/Gal avg ( HWY + local). But one day I got 20/G in the HWY. After that I didn't get more than 16 mile/g in the highway. I talked with dealer's expart, he said it's normal for couple of thousands mile. After first oil change it will be fine and I will get more mileage/Galon. Hope for the best....read morehide

- Plenty of pep for a heavy car. Very comfortable and roomy for all the kids.
- Very disappointed with the fuel economy so far averaging around 15mpg
Fit and finish execellent. I got it fully loaded with the intention of keeping it for awhile. I was a little unsure of the the 4WD compared to something with true 4WD like the Jeep Cherokee which I currently have (the Pilot is for my wife who drives the 3 kids) or the Nissan Pathfinder which we considered before our purchase of the Pilot, but after a foot or more of snow last week, I am convinced it will do just fine.
The only real disappointments are the Nav system, Stereo System and Fuel Economy. The Nav system does not have a trip computer built in to show fuel economy and range left on the tank as the Acura's Nav does (ex. TSX). Also the stereo system is merely adequate and not up to competitors from Toyota and Nissan which have systems from JBL and Bose respectively. It is however integrated with the Voice Navigation so it works fine. I was expecting a little better fuel economy and the best I have gotten so far is aroun 15 MPG combined Highway/City driving (still better than the Jeep). I was hoping for a little better at least around 19 or 20, but we do frequently travel with 5 or more people so that is a plus....read morehide
